Hair Growth?
 
I was just curious as to how fast their hair grows? I want to put little bows in his hair, but it's too short still, lol. How long does it take until he'll have a little more hair on top?

Hmmm, I think Mia was about 4 months when she had her first top knot.

It grows at different rates; this link has some tips for training your puppy to wear bows, and also, how to put in a topknot that works even if the hair is rather short. Casual Way to Put Dog Bows In Those tiny clips that are used on children work well too.

Most of mine could wear a bow between 4 and 5 months. I have a bad bow addiction so I now how you feel

Slade had enough hair for a small bow by 8 wks. :D

mine is 10 weeks and has been wearing a top knot since 8 weeks...and now some of his puppy hair is going away and he is getting rusty colored or tan colored hair growing back!!! so we are changing color. but give it time, the earlier you start with them the better!

Thanks so much. My husband thinks I'm crazy for doing a top knot on him, but he just doesn't get it, lol. He keeps saying how the dog will lose his masculinity if I do the top knot with a bow. Sometimes he can be really silly :)

Good for you, I can't believe how many girls listen to their husbands. :confused: I think guys like it when we're a little crazy. :D

Oh I know ... it's ridiculous how many people these days will just do whatever their husband wants&not have any independence! I'm definitely not like that at all ... my husband knows that I'm an independent person&he has no problem with me doing what I want (usually, lol) :) It's so nice&I'm really lucky to have someone who's like that.

psssh.. dont' worry about it! Slade's had a topknot since 8 wks... mom says I turned him 'gay' :rolleyes: i don't care! its a DOG.. i'm sure if I ever have a bf, he wn't like the bows much either.
