My baby is under the knife! Lexie was dropped off for her spay today! They are also pulling double teeth, microchipping, and doing blood work. I'm so worried about her! They said that we could call after 1:00 to see how she's doing. They are keeping her overnight just to make sure nothing changes and then she'll be released to us at 9:30 tomorrow. No worries, it's a vet hospital, someone will be with her all night long to watch her. My post is for prayers and also for what size of onesie should I buy my little one to wear. She's about 4 lbs and not terribly long. She usually wears XS clothing although they are a bit too big for her. XXS seems just a tad too small now. If you guys have any suggestions on this I would appreciate it! |
Sending HUGS to you and Lexie, Im sure she will do great!!!! |
Praying for a safe surgery. I used a premie size onesie for Cali and she was about 4 lbs too. |
Prayers for Lexie coming your way. I used 0-4months Onsies for Ozzy and he was 3lbs 12oz. |
You guys are totally awesome with the fast replies! I'll buy the smallest onesie I can find then! I can't stop thinking about her! She literally reached out to me when the nurse picked her up. Her little paw stretched towards me and she had so much fear in her eyes. It broke my heart. I have every confidence that they will take good care of her though. |
Awww...poor sweetheart. Good luck, Lexie! I will say a prayer. Keep us posted. |
Ugh! I know how you feel! I dropped Phantom off this morning for his neuter surgery - and it just so happens that his sister (who belongs to my friend) is having her spay surgery today too! I'm counting the hours until I can call and check on them! Wishing the best for you too! |
omgosh, this made me almost cry!!!!! I'm going to have to go through the same thing... I'm dropping Mia off the beginning of June. I'm starting to get nervous. Lexie will be just fine. ::hugs:: |
Hubby just called. Our golden retriever, Jordan, is getting spayed today too and we got an update that she is doing just fine. I have to wait 20 more minutes to find out about Lexie though! It's killing me! Hubby said Tucker is doing the cutest thing. He's searching all the rooms, crates, x-pen, and cubby holes for Lexie and Jordan. He just can't seem to find them! He's so cute. Hubby said he hasn't stopped. Once he makes a round around the house he starts again with the same places. I guess he's hoping he just missed them! How cute is this? |
Sending warm wishes for a safe surgery :) |
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your Lexie. Hang in there. She'll be home soon.:daisy::justahug: |
Sending lots and lots of hugs & prayers to you and your baby. She will do great. I went to target and purchased a 5 pack of onesies for $8.99 and my little guy was 4.4 lbs and wore the 0-3 mos size because our Target didn't have the premie size. Be sure to put them on her upside down so they snap at the top (on her back) and that way she can't bite at the snaps and it is easier for you to take them on & off. Keep us posted on how she is doing.....:) |

Aww, poor baby!! I know I would be a nervous wreck if my baby was having surgery. Which is coming up bc she is getting spayed soon. I'll keep you in my thoughts, I hope everything goes smoothly and your baby heals quickly! And I know it will be hard, but try not to worry too much... ;) |
