So sad on moms day I'm very sad tonight! We just re-homed our little Lucie. It just breaks my heart.(I want to cry, but I won't because my poor little daughter Reanna has already started with that and I just got her to stop.) I know it was the best thing to do, Sadie (my two year old little brat of a yorkie) didn't like her at all. I kept hoping she would come around, but no, Sadie just had it set in her head that she didn't like her no matter what. I know her new mommy and daddy will love her soooo much. (but so did I) They already seem too. They left after looking at her and had some where to go. While they were out the bought her, her very own new dishes with tiaras in them. Her new name is Tiffie. It's cute. I told them about YT and they seemed like the will be on here soon. They also said that we could meet up to see her and that they would send pix too. That has made it a little easier to see how she will grow up into a good little girl. Amy:( |
oh my heart goes out to you..that is one of the hardest things we yorkie owners would ever have to do..I am glad she got a good home.. and you will be updates.. I know this is hard on your and your family.. big hugs to you anne |
I've never had to re-home one of mine but can imagine it must be really tough. It sounds like she will be going to a wonderful home so that has to be reassuring. I believe they are more adaptable than we sometimes think, especially since she is younger. That you'll get the opportunity to see her should give you something to look forward to. I know this does little to make it better but try to stay positive and don't beat yourself up about it. You made a hard decision that is her best interest too. :aimeeyork :animal-pa :animal-pa :animal-pa :animal-pa :) |
Thank you! I know in my heart we did the best thing for both girls. Sadie has been so sad, she even stopped eating for a few days, she only eats now if I hand feed her and poor little Lucie, we had to put her in her crate more then we wanted too just to keep her safe. I know her knew mommy and daddy really love her and that helps. It will just take a little time, that's all. Thanks again! Amy |
I'm so sorry you had to rehome your little one. I have never had to rehome a dog, but I can imagine it would be one of the hardest things to do! I hope you will get to see her often! |
I'm so sorry also...it's heartbreaking! But it sounds like you did the best thing for everyone! That's all you can ask from yourself is to do your best, and you did! Take care of yourself... |
I am so sorry you are going through this.I think it is great that you loved her so much to want what would be best for her.Sending you a hug!:) |
oh, hon, I am so sorry. I know you are just hurting so much. Your love for both your girls is evident. Hugs to you. |

I am sorry I am so sorry that you had to do this, but it sounds like you did the best thing for both dogs. It is never easy. Sue & Cricket :aimeeyork |
i am so sorry u had to go through that...its a good thing u can keep in touch with them thats great |
Amy, My heart goes out to you, honey you did what you felt was the right thing to do... Your decision was very responsible, cause you want the best for your furbabies... I myself don't think I could ever rehome any of my furbabies, my two females constantly fight if I come home and greet one before the other, but those are things we get through... :2hearts2:I Love My Furbabies :aimeeyorkNygee, :aimeeyorkGizmo & :aimeeyorkGypsy!!:2hearts2: |
Thank all of you for the kind words, they really do help. We wanted to keep Lucie, but Sadie had got really aggressive, she even tried to pin Lucie. (thankfully I had been next to them when she did this) I was afraid that Sadie would really hurt her. Sadie is four and a half pounds and little Lucie isn't even two pounds yet, Sadie isn't big at all but next to Lucie she looks huge! Thanks again, I know she has a great home now! Amy and the brattiest yorkie ever, Sadie |
