Let me tell you what happened... The dog lives with a family that has two dogs. They have had her since this past April and the dog is 12 months. She purchased the dog from a family, and the original owners purchased the dog from a breeder in Puerto Rico... She never mentioned why the first owners got rid of her, but she says she is selling her because the yorkie and the original dog, (a 3 year old pug) do not get along. She is not fully potty trained. The owner has vet info from the previous owners, but it seems as if she herself has never taken her to the vet. She also only has one picture of her (the one on puppyfind) and is unable to get me anymore. SO, after MUCH discussion with my husband, we just couldn't make a decision one way or another. It would be perfect if we could go over there with Esme and interact with her in person (and make sure the two would do well together), BUT being that she is so far it is not an option. I would hate to bring this dog into my home and have it go wrong. :( I just think that getting a second dog is such a HUGE decision, I don't want to rush into it. So, we are still looking, and I still have her in mind... What do you guys think??? |
i think thats a great idea. if she doesn't do too well with other dogs, and its that far a drive, then i think its for the best. i'm sure you'll find the girl of your dreams it will just take time. |
Shes a cutie! Good luck! :) |
Maybe you're the mommy shes been waiting for. She is a sweetheart. Joy, Nikki :animal36 and Chloe Rose :rose: |
good luck on your search for your little girl...just remember, if it was went to be then it will happen. we went through the same thing when we got our second one....all the questions about interaction, etc. but when it happened it was definitely the right thing.... again, good luck... |
It's always hard to incorporate another into the mix. I have 6, I know! But I would also consider that the dog it doesn't get along with is a pug. Not that that is a bad thing, just a breed that can be difficult. This is 'just my opinion'. I believe that your Esme is a Yorkie too. I would think that the new one and yours would probably get a long better than a pug. Again, JMO! I have heard that pugs can be more dominant. It's just something to consider. Good luck! |
not to be off topic but my 2 hate pugs i think its the breathing ! youll find your baby dont worry if this will be the 3rd home shes going to theres gotta be something there not telling you ya know goodluck :D |
