Yorkie found near Greenville/Duncan, SC I'm not sure if this is the right place to post this thread. Admin you can move it if it is in the wrong forum. A girl that works with my company brought in a tiny female yorkie this morning that she found in her yard. From the way she looked when found it seems she may have been lost for a few days. I told her to take her and have her scanned for a chip and also to call the area vets to see if anyone has reported a lost yorkie in the area. I feel so :( sad for the owners. I know they are sick worrying over where she is! I thought I would post on here just in case by some small miracle it belongs to a YT'r! |
Oh I bet they are worried sick. Just spread the word as much as you can. Newspapers, craigslist of the area...vets offices...Just imagine how thankful you would be if someone worked really hard to get your lost yorkie back to you. At least she's in great hands for now! :) |
She should also place a found ad in local papers - most papers do found ads for free. Is she taking care of this baby? How hard not to grow attached. |
She is taking care of her. She bathed her the first night because she said her coat was full of burrs, like she had been maybe lost for awhile :( She knows she can't keep her because she has a young child and this one is too little for her rough toddler. If she doesn't find the owner she already has a list of people who want it, including me:rolleyes: but I'd much rather her find the owner, I know they must be sick with worry! I would be :( |
Tell her to post an ad on Petfinder.com: Adopt a pet and help an animal shelter rescue a puppy or kitten. in the lost and found section of the classifieds, just in case the owners happen to look there. Also, when she places ads, make sure she leaves out identifying information (such as breed of dog) and make sure the owners provide that when they call. Too many people might call and lie saying its their yorkie. |
