Need some quick advice! As I said in my intro post, my job is eating more and more into my time at home that I have to relax and be with Peanutt. I've considered getting another Yorkie to be his friend and keep him company, but is this a good idea? I mean I wouldn't have a lot of time for a new puppy but would it do the two of them a lot of good to be together whether or not I am around? It is just an idea I have been thinking about. I thought maybe it would make a good substitution for me not being around as much. What do you think? |
Andy seems a lot happier since I got stormy in early March. Having another friend around I belive is very good for these social butterflies. But on the other hand if you don't have time to devote in the crucial first couple of weeks let alone the potty training making sure the pup eats it could be a really bad idea. Sorry about the bad grammer I'm on my phone sending this. |
A LOT of people get a second Yorkie for their first Yorkie. However, an unsupervised puppy is never a good idea. |
I wouldn't get a second right now if you can't work on potty training and any other puppy behaviors right now. If you can reinforce enough of those good behaviors it might be a good fit but Peanutt might be upset with you initially |
i am in the same Boat!!!! I work a lot too and spend a lot of time studying when i am home so i do want to get Chewy a baby sister to play with but as others have already said i dont thingk i will have time for the potty training and all the other things you have to deal with with a puppy... I wish someone in my area was selling a pup that was already potty trained and social. |
getting two was the best thing ever ..... and Jax is the younger one but being the male is so protective over jolie , i play with him and tell him i am going to get Jolie and he barks and protectss her ... too sweet . |
