Scooter is finally home and resting quietly now. Again, I want to express my sincere appreciation for all of kindness everybody has shown for me and Scooter these past few weeks :yorkietal Now I can breath alittle better seeing him in his own bed again.

Awww, is that Scooter AFTER surgery? He looks GREAT! What did the dr's say about his prognosis? You must be ever so relieved; that's a big surgery for such a little doggie! I know I would have been sick myself!
I'm so glad he's doing so well and that he's home where he belongs! Keep us updated on his recovery!

Scooter looks more like he's just returned from vacation than open heart surgery. He must have had some amazing Dr.'s. Way to go, Scooter. Enjoy your recouperation. Prayers for a speedy one.

Yes, that's him with his bed-head and neon green bandage wraps. I just listened to his heart with my stethoscope and I can hear the beats instead of the whooshing!!!! It was well worth the money to see that now he has a chance at life. And yes, he had an amazing surgeon (Dr.Myron Downs in Athens, GA). I LOVE HIM.

Thank you all for your get well wishes. Scooter had a pretty good night. I checked on him every few hours (the neon-green bandages really showed up in the dark ) and only had to give him pain medicine once around 3am. This morning he has some of his spunk back and is full of kisses (so I guess he's not too mad at me~LOL ). I think the hardest part this week will be keeping him quiet. Right now the bandage on his leg (from the IV) is helping to limit his activity a wee bit. I'll take that off on Monday.

Scooter says thank you for all the get well wishes. Several people have PM'd me asking for updates on Scooter. I guess the thread gets lost in the General Discussion Section. So from now on I will post all updates in the Sick/Injured Section. See ya there :wavey:
