Peed on Floor Instead of Pee Pad Four nights ago, we put Logan in the laundry room with his crate and a pee pad. We gated the door. For three nights and days, he never peed or pooped on the floor or pee pad. I have been giving him more freedom in the house as well, and he's still kept the floors clean and dry. However, this morning at 3 a.m. I heard him bark. When I checked on him, I found two pee puddles on the floor. He isn't using the pee pad. So...now what? How do I get him to pee on the pad? When I put him in a playpen at night with a pee pad many months ago, he used the pee pad. Now he doesn't want to and pees on the floor. Any ideas?? |
peeing  you didn't mention how old your baby is....puppies are going to mess up...(sorry for the pun)....try putting him in a place where there is only his "pee pad" for a while...then gradually increase the space till he gets the idea....don't punish him unless you "catch him in the act" dogs live "in the moment"...then just say no loudly and move on ....when you are cleaning the area make sure you use something that neutralized dog urine....your house can smell wonderful to you and I...but he smells it! good luck;) roxanne |
