Pet Steps... Anyone!? Hi guys. I've been looking into pet steps, but they all seem shorter than my bed (which would be the main reason of getting them). My bed is 26" tall. Anyone use them or have suggestions!? Do your yorkies use them/like them if you have them? Thanks!! |
i dont have them, but i rigged up a little black crate and on top of that i put a stuffed sham that matches my comforter right by the end of the bed. it doesnt take up that much room at all... lexi jumps on the crate and onto the bed.. actually she runs |
steps I use them that advertise on tv but i understand that you can buy then with forth steps or if you buy the new one they come with a paper to send for the forth step:) |
I have them. I ordered some online that has the 4th step, works great for my high bed. I have a 3 step for my sofa. |
Our bed is also very tall.. We ended up making our own! It was pretty easy, and pretty cheap as well. Went to home depot and bought some plywood for about $15 and a small roll of carpet (the kind made to be used for a rug with ends that are finished) that matched the color of our room. BF cut the wood and nailed the pieces together, and we stapled the pieces of carpet to the wood. They're perfect!! |
1 Attachment(s) My Husband made ours also. A few Douglass fir logs and some tongue and groove pine and Ozzy was all set. I would like to put some microfiber covers on the steps for traction but Ozzy uses them all the time. Here is a picture of them. |
My bed is also very high, and bandit would constantly just scratch at my satin comforter to pick him up. So I bought a four step one from PetSmart, and he loves it. He runs up and down it all the time. Best investment ever! |

We were thinking of just building them like SaraAlexine00 did. How tall do you think each step should be for a shorter-legged 4 lber? |
My bed is high and I bought them for Tucker. He would not use them, he seemed to be afraid of them! I finally got rid of them. |
