Benadryl I know I have seen something about this before but I did a search and could not find an exact answer. Lily went to the vet last week for her itchy skin and the vet said when she has a bad flare up to give her children’s sugar free dye free Benadryl but did not give me and exact answer on how much to give Lily, she is 6 Lb. Thanks for the Help.:D |
I just mix a lil' with their food.. or the syringe thingee but Bailey is bigger so maybe 1/2 a syringe full.. and if still itching add a little more. It does make them sleepy. |
Milo is 6lb 11 oz and he has seasonal allergies, my vet told me to get the regular tablets and a pill splitter and give him half the pill. |
Hi, I know it does work. But I use to give it to a big dog so sorry I don't know how much a 6lb need. I wouldn't take any chances, just call the vet back. |
Thanks for the help |
Gracie is only 4.4 lbs and the vet said to give her 1/4th of a tsp |

I just called the 24 hour vet and they said they could not tell me how much to give her because it was not a med. made for dogs . I think 1/4 should be fine because she is at least one lb bigger than Juju & Gracie. I am going to try to hold off and not give it to her (this would be the first time for her to have it) but if the itches do not get a little better by bed I may have to. |
When Joey was sick we were told to give him 2.5 mg or (1ml) of children's Benadryl. This would be a little less than ¼ of a tsp. At the time he weighed 3 lbs 4ounces. This was to be given every 12 hours. |
Gizmo is 11lbs and takes 1/2 teaspoon. |
