I had an awful night !!
 
Ok so last night I put my ear plugs and went to sleep around 11, I woke up around 12:30 AM and noticed that one of my ear plug is missed I looked and saw that Royce was awake I started to panic and looked for the ear plug everywhere but couldn't find it and came to the conclusion that Royce found it and ate it ...I called the emergency clinic they told me either to wait for three days and see if he passes it and at the same time monitor him and in case he doesnt pass it he will need surgery to remove it or try to induce vomiting ..Thank god I had a new bottle of hydrogen peroxyde so I made him swallow 2 ml of it and thank god 5 minutes later he started vomiting and the ear plug came out intact . Pheww it was a horrible night !
Now I dont know what to do I have severe sleeping problems and cant have a good night sleep if I dont have my ear plugs on...should I stop using them and make my sleeping worse or should I make Royce sleep in another room in his bed :confused: I dont want another incident like this to happen!!!

Im glad he is ok! i know that was scary, If you have to have them to sleep then I would suggest he sleep somewhere else.. good luck with that BTW:D can he jump on the bed, if not maybe he can sleep on the floor next to the bed

My bed is very low and he can easily jump ...I dont know what to do he has been sleeping in my bed since he became potty trained ...I find it so hard to let him slip in another room by himself ...I guess I have to find ear plugs that wont fall from my ears no matter what ...heading to the pharmacy later :mad:

this may sound silly but maybe put in your ear plugs then cover them with ear muffs:confused:

good thinking !!!!! You acted fast and prolly saved your baby many trips to the vet!! Good mom!

Maybe you could try the ear plugs that are on a little plastic string...my husband uses them. You can get them at a sporting goods store, probably walmart in the hunting section

It's not silly...thats what I was thinking as well ...find something to cover my ears with when I have my earplugs ...they never fell before I dont know how it happened yesterday ...

Gosh I would have thought giving hydrogen peroxyde would be a bad thing but what do I know. Just glad all is well!

Oh it can be SO very helpful!!!!!!! you should always have it on hand. It makes digs empty their belly is like 3 minutes

I have used it on Diggy 3 times and he is only a year old! He eats EVERYTHING so he has gotten into a Motrin, chocolate, and rotten chicken scraps. All 3 times it worked and prolly saved a lot of sickness and misery! you give half a teaspoon and if they dont vomit in 3-5 minutes do it again. The peroxide will not hurt them.

Hydrogen Peroxyde 3 % and a syringe ,,,,always have them handy in case your yorkie eats something and you need to induce vomiting without delay ...though you have to be very careful when giving liquid with a syringe go very slowly and make sure he swallows ...you dont want to end up putting water in his lungs ...

Thank you :) I didnt want to take the risk in case he doesnt pass it ...it saved me many trips to the vets and many $$$ as well ...I know someone who's dog swallowed something they couldnt see it with the X Rays ..they to use that special tiny camera and then they had to do surgery to remove it it ended up costing more then $2000.00:eek::eek::eek::eek::eek::eek:

OMG! I'm sure glad your baby is ok. One of my friends has a maltese and he swallowed one of his orange ear plugs once and sure enough he passed it the next day. I'm glad to know of the peroxide trick, I will let him know as well for future occurances. :)
