Simon and Hallie??
 

I haven't seen any posts from Simon and Hallie's mom. I hope the baby's are okay since she posted about blood and throwing up.

You are all very sweet! I posted earlier and could not wait for repies I ran to the vet. I knew it was Simon, he has stomach problems and Hallie has only thrown up once in the year I had her but to be safe I took them both in. I have to say up front that I LOVE my vet. He xrayed both of them, took their temperatures and gave them full evaluations (for the price of one).

Simon's tumor in his belly has returned (he has previously had it removed twice the most recent in December) however the vet says it is not as big as before (good news) but the poor little guy is not himself. He has lost 5 ounces since I had him weighed last Friday. Today was the first time he has been sick in a month, which is a long time in his little world. The vet gave him his usual shot to calm his tummy and we are going back in the morning. I'm not sure what the diagnosis will be as far as removing the tumor again but if it needs to be done we will (of course). The vet will take his blood tomorrow. He is sleeping now and Hallie is frantic knowing what is going on (as she was in December). I'll keep everyone posted!

OMGosh - that's awful ! Poor little guy - ...I feel so bad for you & Simon !! For him to already have 2 surgeries to remove the same tumor is very scary ! I'm sending you big hugs and hope everything will be ok for him - Chanel & Cheri said to tell him to be strong - and get well soon ...

Kimberly- I hope you are ok too! I am sure it was scarry coming home and seeing that. I am glad you went right to the vet. By the sounds of it- your vet really does sound like he is wonderful! Please keep us posted!

awww i'm so sorry. i had no idea simon had a tumor!!!! i will be praying for all 3 of you and i hope everything gets better. simon is a tough little man, i'm sure he'll be fine!

You are all so nice! This is why I LOVE it here! I am ok just worried about baby Simon and Hallie, she gets really depressed when he isn't feeling well. We are all headed to bed to relax and cuddle. I will write tomorrow after our appt. The vet mentioned today that since it was small we may be able to control the stomach upset with special food and medication. I hope that is the case, I'm not sure he or I can handle another surgery.

Poor little baby! What in the world is the deal with the tumor returning? I am sure you have explained this before but I missed it, sorry! Is this something he will have to deal with his whole life? How sweet and sad that Hallie is worried. That has to just melt your heart!

Poor Simon! I know it's hard on all of you, but you are keeping such a great attitude! Please let us know how things go tomorrow...I've been thinking about them all day. Our family will be thinking about you tonight too!

Just got back from the vet! He took Simon's blood and is consulting with a vet at Cornell for treatment options. We may be taking a trip there to meet another vet (a specialist) which is fine with me because it means no surgery! Baby Simon had a good night, he woke up around midnight wanting to play ball and had a little snack and tons of water. I am staying home with them today. Thank you all again for all your words, you help me more than you know!

It's so nice to come to a place where owners don't even question these important decisions. I know people who would complain about the cost or something and just let it slide. :mad: :thumbdown

My thoughts are with you both. I hope that they'll take care of Simon and he'll be back on the mend. I'm so glad that your staying home today, I know that sometimes it's a hard thing for people to do, but I feel that it's just one of those things that we have to choose to do...

sillyjacki, it's funny that you mention the cost! It never crossed my mind. I am not a wealthy person by any means but I will do whatever it takes to take care of my babies. <insert a call to mom and/or dad here> and I agree it is very nice that I can say those things and not have anyone tell me I'm crazy!

And for taking the day off I have to say that a HUGE perk of my job is the family sick time I get and my boss lets me use that to take care of Simon and Hallie since I do not have other children. I cannot stand to leave them while they are sick.

Simon is sleeping and Hallie is patrolling the neighborhood out the back window ;)

I haven't visited YT too much in the past day or so. I hate when there's news and I'm way far behind :(! So sorry to hear about poor Simon! Hopefully no surgery will be necessary this time. It's so sweet that Hallie is worried about him. I, too, would pay any amount to make my little babies better and I am not of wealth either! Cookie sends kisses to all of you and we will say some prayers for you guys. Good Luck with the specialist!

It's nice that you have other treatment options. That gives one hope. Many hugs to Simon and Hallie... :)

Simon had a good day today! A lot of sleep and no belly aches! He probably had a headache from Hallie bugging him but other than that he is doing well.

I talke to the vet today and he spoke to the specialist. If Simon's bloodwork comes back like it normally does (what they call abnormally perfect since usually something will spike out of nerves except for Simon who loves going to the vet and feels completely comfortable there) he will be put on a medication to help ease his sensitive belly and we will watch the tumor and hope it doesn't grow. It is not obstructing any organs so that is good. He will go in for ultrasounds every other week. So, all good news.


Weegie, I'm being berry good to my brudder. He's sweepin a wot and I want him to pway. Why don't you come ower and pway wif me? :) I wuv you Weegie....
