Passing down my love of Yorkies to my neice My nice is on the way here from Fl. She is getting my treasured runt of my litter of 6. Chula, my runt is not just treasured because she is petite and cute but because she is spunky. This was the dog that I was going to keep IF I was going to keep one. My neice's Yorkie died on Christmas Day and her parents promised her a new one. This is my first litter so I want to be able to see the puppies full grown and they are sentimental to me because they are babies of a dog that owns me. I am just so excited to be able to pass this on to her. This dog is going to mean everything to her. I get so attached to my Yorkies because they go through so much with me and I know that her new puppy will see her through good times and bad times. She is 12 years old. My last dog went through a couple of boyfriends and my parents divorce. My newest dog shared the addition of a new family of my daughter now 5 months. I am so happy to be able to be a part of her love for Yorkies. |
I think it's fantastic that you are able to give your niece a yorkie pup. It has to feel good knowing you are sending the puppy to a great home plus you'll have visiting rights :D |
That is so wonderful. What a special Aunt!! |
That is really sweet. And I am sure that your niece will treasaure the pup knowing that she is from such a special aunt.:) |
This is so personal to me. My neices are 5 and 6, and last year, their mother walked out on my brother-in-law. They are currently living at my in-law's house(8 people there!) Due to their living situation, they had to give away their cat, and they're having a lot of trouble with their dog, a doberman; he keeps getting out and the neighbors keep complaining to animal control. To top it off, my in-law's 13 year old lab dies last September. So I delight in it when my neices ask me if they can come over and play with my yorkie and chihuahua. They need that sort of unconditional love. I hope your neice will make many wonderful memories with her new pup. |
I am sorry to hear of the unfortunate situation. Bless your nieces hearts'. I take my Yorkie to see my Grandfather who has Alzheimers and it lights him up. He likes to play fetch with her and she gets on the back of the couch and licks his head. She is kind of making me mad though b/c she is so sweet and lovable but she has begun to act out of character there. She whines and I give her food, water, take her outside, play with her, ??? I have begun to believe that she doesn't really like it there and I don't know why. My last Yorkie played hard to get like that. Anyways, this thread is about the young ladies in our lives that we are able to pass our love of Yorkies down to. |
