I dont know...Maybe I was just lucky, but I was told by my vet to wait until Sammi got to be 2 years old, before he pulled her teeth, because from what he saw her teeth were going to fall out on their own...Sammi had doubles Canines (2 top and 2 bottoms) her last one came out April of this year, at that time she was 17 months old...and her teeth are all fine, not crooked or anything... |
Maximus is a ball of energy...lol, my bf said is is back to his pain in the booty self and the doctor told him he probably wouldn't eat but Maximus ate all his kibble and like 4 treats...LOL, guess they were wrong..no drowsiness here, my bf said he is all over the place..lol |

XoXoXo Fran and Sammi |
LOL....I am glad he is acting liek this because I really don't know him any other way....dumb question but how does he pee with the bandage on?..so I keep changing it? |
Hmmmm...Well Sammi was OUT COLD after her surgery (she had double the anethesia due to hernia surgery at the same time) she did pee pee on herself cause she wasnt awake to physically go to her pad...So I just kept changing her onesies and keeping the area clean :( I would call the vet and ask about the bandage... |
YAY!! SAM thats wonderful... you go Maximus!!! are they home?? |
YAY! We are so glad to hear that Maximus is doing so well. I agree, I think he hooked up before hand and is mocking all of the doctors for perfoming the surgery..haha..Oh I bet you just can't wait till you see him. Hey Sam, why did you get him a onesie? How does that help after the surgery? Just curious, because I know Coco won't want to wear an ecolar. |
I got him the onesie so that he can't chew by the incison site and I can take the ecollar off...nope not home...still at the vet's trying to get answers on a couple of things and the pain killers..probably left a few minutes ago..I hope!!! |
Yeah! Maximus! I must agree with the others, he "hooked up" before the surgery! What a cutie pie. I'm glad I didn't have to deal with the one-sies. Alley didn't even have external stitches. But we are talking just neutering, right? |
Does that work for females (onesies)? Because technically they can still chew through the onesie right? Do you just cut a hole for the tail? |
good to hear maximus is feeling okay! |
I cut a hole for the tail...but I am really beyond annoyed, my bf said that the doctor made him wait for the meds for like 35 minutes and now I am looking at the bottle and it says Samus/Feline...umm hello, his name is not Samus neither is he feline :( , they didn't tell my bf when he could bathe, they don't have even a band aid in the area(is that normal)?? |
I don't think under normal circumstances they bandage the area. I used a onsie also and Lexi didn't bother her stitches, now when the onsie came off a whole nother story. If your not sure about the meds call the vet back, but I think for small dogs feline med is fine. I'd call to make sure though... |
:aimeeyork What a nice bf and a good daddy. My boyfriend has really gotten attached to Deegan too. He's so protective of him, it's really sweet. Just for an example, I was handing out the No Puppy Mill Flyers from Millbusters.com today and happen to go to Doggy Day Care to post one up at there business. And while I was there, the lady gave me a pamphlet on the place. Well, when I got home I just put the pamphlet on the counter and had never intended to put Deegan in daycare. But when my boyfriend came home and saw the pamphlet, he came out to the backyard with it in his hands saying "No, Deegan's not going to Doggy Day Care, he's too little and he could get hurt. He's staying with me during the day." All this jsut flew out of his mouth so fast, it took me a minute to kinda figure out what he was talking about. So cute that he loves Deegan just as much as I do! :aimeeyork |
