A Scottish Tried to Attack and Bite Kimchee Today After the crazy rain/snow this morning, the sun finally came out and we decided to take our babies for a walk. We went to Redmond Town Center. It is an outdoor mall which welcomes dogs. Customers can take their dogs into the stores, except restaurants, with them. When my husand and I passed a boutique, 2 ladies with 4 Scottish tried to exit that boutique. The dogs were barking at us excecessively and I was thinking, "Boy! You guys are so fierce, you want to eat my babies or what?!" We ignored them and we went on our walk. The ladies and the Scottish exited the boutique and walked in an opposite directions as us, so I thought all was well. Oh Boy! Was I wrong! After we turned into another conrer, I heard my husband shouted, "It is coming!" I was walking in front of my husband and I turned around, I saw one Scottish was running towards us while continuing the fierce bark. The Scottish wanted to attack and bite Kimchee. My husband, who was walking Kimchee, yanked him up by pulling up the leash. Kimchee was literally hanging in the air. The Scottish still tried to jump up and bite Kimchee even though he was safe up and above in my husband's arm. Suddenly the Scottish turned to me and jumped up on me to try to get Mochi (she was sitting on my arm all the way, she was not walking). The Scottish gave up and ran to my husband again! The Scottish finally gave up and walked away. What pissed me off was that it took so long for the dog's owner to come and get back the dog. The owner came, with a collar and leash on her hand, and asked if everything was okay. Seeing the collar and leash, I understood that the angry Scottish got loose with his/her will power to attack Kimchee. But what took her so long to come and get her? Shouldn't she be running right after the dog if the dog got loose? A store owner came out and yelled at the dog owner for us since we were so stunned that we didn't know what to say. I was so thankful of my husband's yanking technique :D; otherwise, we would be in the emergency right now. I was also lucky that I decided not to let Mochi walk; otherwise, my Mochi will turned into that Scottish's meal. Lesson learned: when there are vicious dogs nearby when I am walking my babies, pick my babies up and walk as far as possible away from them, exit that location if necessary. This is our scary experience today and I still have a headache. I am so stressed out! My poor Kimchee, I don't know how scared he was during that attack! I gave him lots of hugs after. |
How horrible! I'm glad your hubby was able to "yank" your baby away! I cannot imagine how afraid you guys must have been! And to think a Scottish Terrier! You never can be too careful! Hugs your way. Hope the headache goes away soon! |
That is scary. Thank God your husband acted fast and you were holding Mochi. I have decided that I cannot safely walk my 4 even if 2 are in the stroller and 2 are walking as I could not possibly keep them all safe if a bigger dog came upon us. We have several labs in the area that tend to get loose all the time. It is sad that we have to suffer because people can't control their dogs. I am so happy you had a good ending. |
Edie got nabbed once by a Scottie in our neighborhood named Lucy. Edie was being very obnoxious, barking at Lucy like CRAZY. Lucy just sat there and listened. But as soon as Edie got within strinking distance, Lucy lunged out and took Edie's whole head into her mouth!!! We had to pry open her jaws, and there was no harm done. Lucy could have done some damage if she really wanted to. I hoped that Edie learned her lesson, but she continued to bark every time she saw Lucy. |

Scary! I'm so glad everyone is ok! |
This is why my guy's alway's have a harness on you can just lift them by the leash. |
I am so glad Kimchee is alright! I am always wary of any other dog around cause you just do not know what is in their head. I do not go to the dog park anymore because Princeton got bit from a daushand and the lady just did not seem to care. Grrrr! |
scary! glad to hear that your furbabies are safe! |
