You gotta be kidding me!!! Has anyone else seen this new fad for wee dogs.....People are getting their EARS PIERCED!!!!! I just read an article about it in a fad mag and I truly am shocked! Im trying to remember the name of the mag so I can post a copy of the article (I was getting an oil change and was reading what they had there). WHY would anyone do that to a dog, put them thru the pain and not to mention if they scratch and catch the thing. OMG It just makes me sick! Has anyone else heard of such a thing?? |
Yes, there was a thread about this a while back. I thought it was disgusting then and it is now! I can't for the life of me imagine why it isn't considered animal cruelty. I mean, a child is one thing and piercing your own body however you want is one thing but a dog can't ask to get their ears pierced or even have a say in the final decision! It's dangerous, can get caught or ripped out at any time and how on earth are you going to turn that post and clean the ears 3 times a day...it's ridiculous. |
:eek:OMG.....how awful. Like you say....they could catch it/them and rip them out. I have never heard anything so stupid.:thumbdown |

Years ago it was a fad for cats to have their ears pierced. There was actually places on boardwalks in summer resorts that did this. |
I remember reading that thread too. It's not something I would ever do to a pet of mine. |
what?!!?!? why would people even consider doing this? |

I have heard of it, and I think it's absolutely ridiculous!!! |
that's SICK! |
Really stupid thing to do... |
that is totally stupid!! That goes along the lines of dying your white dogs pink and purple!!! Disgusting!! There should be laws for that! In Boulder Colorado, there was a lady who dyed her poodle pink for breast cancer awareness and she got in trouble. Even made the news! |
