Strut Your Mutt!!~~~ Our local fairgrounds hosted a " strut Your Mutt" this Sat. We went, it was pretty interesting, they had a booth set up for Micro-chipping, A pet parade, search and rescue dog demonstration, and a drug sniffing dog demo. They also had contest for biggest, littlest, best outfit, longest tail, shortest tail, etc. Raffles, grab bags, dog cpr demo, and info on cremation. They had a really good turnout, I saw about 6 Yorkies, of course Bailey had to greet them all, ( it's strange how he went right to all the Yorkies and didn't pay too much attention to other breeds, do they know they are related??) Anyhow, it was nice,, would have been better if it had not been so HOT.. alot of the dogs were panting, so we only stayed about 2 hours. Does anyone else have anything like this in your area? |
Might be better in the fall or spring for the pups. But what a great idea. I would love something like that around here. |
I wish we did!!! That sounds like soooo much fun!!!! Sooo exciting!!!!! How funny that he went right up to the other yorkies!!!! Did you take any pics? |

We have a Pride In Milltown Day and as part of it they have a Pet contest. They have prizes, etc. Megan can not wait until October for the next one. |

That sounds like so much fun! They do breed parties in my area. People just put ads in the paper and meet in a park to have fun and spend the day with their pups. Such fun! |
I wish we did. Everyone loves their dog and has the right to show them and win prizes. Good for your community. |

WOOFSTOCK is coming up here in Cardiff by the Sea on August 6th. I am hoping more southern Califonria Yters come and we can have a meet up there. I, for one, can't wait as I had so much fun a the Wags for Wishes Charity dog evet we just attended. |
No we don't have anything around here like that, but it sure would be nice if we did. I just might suggest it to someone... I don't know who, but I'll find someone. It might be a nice idea to raise money for th humane society that is in dire straights and may have to be shut down. Thanks for the post and the idea! :D |
