hahahahahaha hubby and I took Rocky and Baby on a bike ride today! OMG they loved it! He had Rock and I had Baby, they both did wonderful!
This was my 1st time riding with Baby but hubby has done it in the past.
She rode on my right side and ran like the wind! She was so focused and determined, she never stopped till I did!
You should try it! :)

Oh, what Fun! :animal37 Bet they were tired afterwards:dogzzz: I've been wanting to do this, but also would love to get a bike basket incase she gets tired. ;)

that is such a great idea cause sometimes we want to go farther, but afraid they would just get to tired. I'm gonna have to look into a basket!

I have a back/front pack for zeus. I never really used it, but it has a hook to attach to his harness, and he can look out.

We have a basket for one and the front harness that I wear for the other one. Both girls love going on bike rides... We have never let them run with the bike. I don't think mine would go for that.:rolleyes: Sounds like everyone had a great time.:)

I have a nice big wire basket on the front of my bike that they ride in. They just LOVE riding in it and they even have their own helmets. :D

Aww sounds like a lot of fun! I doubt Reeses would do that..he would prob just want to walk...he might run a few steps and then he would stop and look at me like I was crazy and demand to be picked up. Lol. When we go walking he will walk fine but then Ill try to run with him for a short distance just to give him a lil extra exercise and he wont run far before he completely stops and wont budge any further and stands up on my leg wanting me to pick him up! Lol. :p

you are so brave.. I'd be terrified that one of the girls would accidentally get stuck under the tire..

but omg does Evie sound like her momma.. her favorite game in fetching a tennis ball.. she likes all toys.. but the tennis ball is her favorite...
she could be tired as heck running with her tongue sticking out.. but when it comes to the green ball.. she's there!
and today we opened up the backyard... omg you should've seen her!! CrAzY!!!! JUST like her momma!

How fun! I go bike riding with the girls except i put them in the basket, no way would they run lol They are too diva for that. Teddy will prob. run but since there's so many cars here i don't try it. But the girls LOVE riding in the basket together, and we get a lot of stares and smiles:)

So how exactly do you do it? Are they on a leash, do you tie it to anything? I tried scootering with my 2 girls and Xena was fine but Izzy was terrified of the scooter and would just stop.

i tried chip on the front of my long board, he seemd to like it,but then he jumped off, thankfuly i wasnt going too fast and he was on a harness so he didnt get hurt, but he is getting used to it now :) hopfully by summer he will be fine and we can skate down the seafront hehe

ali wants to get a bike with a basket, guess thats an idea for a birthday presant :D hehe hope everyone is kewl

I stay in the addition, hardly any cars and it's safer for them. I have them on a harness with a leash. They are on the right side of me and I hold the leash and she just runs....... She has never tried to go to my left side or in front of the tire. She is concentrating on running, she don't even try to stop and sniff. I stop at a corner and she takes a rest.

Then when we get home she goes right to her water bowl and puts her front paws in it and splashes around LOL

Wow that sounds like good excercise for them. I want to try it with my lil one but I would be too scared that she would cross from left to right. That's great that you are able to do that without any problems. Thanks for explaining how you did it.:animal36:animal-pa:thumbup:

i wish i could do that with lexi, but she would make me fall right on my face.
she would go infront of my tires or underneath and i would have a
scrapped face.. sooo she goes in the basket on the bike and i look like
the wicked witch of the west and thats how we ride..

Ok, please tell me, do they just stay put in the basket or do they ever try to jump out. I have been wanting to do this with my puppy but I've hesitated for fear he would fly out on the ride. :animal36

We get a lot of smiles too! Bella loves the bike..but she can barely finish a long walk. Forget running..hee hee
