Booster seats and pet carriers I just bought a booster seat for my baby and everyone around are making fun of me. I now that here sadly the LAW about carrying your pets is not strong but my doggy loves to travel with me and he likes to be in my lap. I CANT DRIVE WITH HIM THERE!!!!!! Does anyone of you has one of those or you just carry the doggies in the pet carrier???? Help im going crazy:eek: here |
Alot of us have booster seats or car seat of some form for out babies dont let what other people think discourage you, it would only take the smallest car collision to kill our tiny babies. it is the responsible thing to do if your going to take them with you keep them safe. Copper would love to ride in my lap it is just not safe, when I but him in the car he jumps right up into his carseat and waits for me to clip it in and give him his treat. My family teased me too at first but i am comfortable knowing that he will be safe and alive at the end of our ride together:) |
When I got mine booster seat, I got laughed at too. Chloe' didn't like it at first, as hubby let her sit on his lap, but now she loves it. She can see out and I know she is safe. |
I have a Snoozer Lookout carseat for both my girls. I really don't care if anyone makes fun of me, because I know my girls are the safest they can be when they are in the car with me!! |
I have a lookout carseat for Kimchee. Now I have to buy one more, either another lookoutg car seat or a console lookout for Mochi. I don't care how other people laugh at me, all I know is my babies' safety. They laugh because they are not well educated in our babies' safety procedures. |
I keep Jeter in a crate when we travel with him. I had read something about this being the safest way for pets to travel. I was looking in to see what kinds of test were done on the pet car seats and I really can't find much to show that they are better then the crate. |

I've been thinking about getting a Lookout Console for my SUV. I drive a Jeep Commander, and Lily is about 4 lbs. I'm just wondering about the sizes. There's a smaller one, and a larger one. They do list the dimensions, but I'm not sure how generously sized they are in real life. LOL.. Also, can the smaller one (that I guess is for cars) be used in an SUV? Just thought someone with experience might know. :) |

I am not saying that it is wrong to have a safety seat for your pet in any way.I think it is great that people want to keep their pet's safe:) I chose the crate because we did research car safety gear for dogs months before we even got Jeter and we found more information on crates being the safest way to travel. |
1 Attachment(s) Thanks so much! That's what I was thinking... I did see them advertised differently, so I was wondering.. I think I'll go with the smaller version. As you can see, Lily does like to snuggle..:2hearts2: |
I the smaller console and it definitely works for a 6lb yorkie. Katie loves hers.:) |
i can't stress the importance of a carseat. we crashed our car and romeo was fine in his lookout carseat. i was unconscious. i couldn't image driving without him in a carseat. |
i agree very important |
Ha ha. I have a doublewide booster seat in the back of my pickup truck. I don't care what people think. They're safe, comfortable and enjoy the ride a lot more. And they don't get carsick. |
