Lost/Found Yorkie So, yesterday I was at a house doing inspections and I notive a flyer laying on the sellers hutch. Lost Dog Gray/Tan yorkie BELLA small 10 lbs etc.... I stared at it for just a minute, my buyers nor inspector were there yet so.... I called the people to offer my support. NOW.... I live 30 mins from there but felt I could at least help them with ideas in the few free minutes I had. I called & told them I was calling about Bella and would love to give them some ideas in finding her that I had learned off of this wonderful forum I was a member of. Doug (Bellas daddy) told me she had been found (my call was the day after she went missing) but he said it was soooo wonderful I had called and wondered about this forum. So, I told him where to find us, that there were a few OKC members & worldwide (just to let him know how big this really is) and that we get on, share pics, info & learn all about our wonderful yorkies... anyways, I am a goober because I went through all of that conversation holding back crying, so sounded all choked up. I hope Doug & his wife Brenda pop in to see what we are all about. BEST thing.... Bella is a rescue they rescued from a puppy mill and they said her personality is really opening up. She is staring to wonder more around the backyard & that is how she became missing. She found a slat missing that daddy had miss :p . |
To happy to hear they found her! Good for you for calling and telling them about this forumn! |
Aww what a happy ending. |

Well, that was a great ending. Hope they get curious and join YT!!!! |
There has been an ad in our paper for 2 days for a missing Yorkie- Abby.. I have been thinking about calling just to tell them she's on my mind and maybe offer them some ideas they might not have thought about.. everyday I pick up the paper hoping the ad is not in it..:( and the she's home. |

Let us know how this turns out. |
I agree~ let them know that at least people are SEEING their ad and they care about them getting their dog back! It would mean the WORLD to me if I felt like at least one other person wanted to help! When I was looking for the owners of Madison, I was on craigslist and fidofinder and petfinder and I either called or emailed anyone that I thought looked like it might be a possibility and if I saw other ads for dogs that had been found and sounded like any of the ones I'd seen that were lost, I'd email that to those people. I felt kind of dorky for doing it, but the people were so grateful that someone took the time to at least find out about their dog that was missing, so every little bit of hope helps I think:). |

Please call them & offer support. They are likely feeling so overwhelmed. Also, there are so many great idea in the sticky on how to find a lost dog. I found a new friend when an article ran about a couple offering a $5,000 reward for this missing yorkie, Lexy. Maybe you remember the threads this winter about Lexy. Her momma, came to YT & signed up - she's lzpeaches. I helped her hang up fliers & posters on several occasions - unfortunately, after months of searching Lexy's body was recently found. But I hope to continue a friendship with lzpeaches & her new yorkie, Maddie & another yorkie she will get soon. She so appreciated the support of strangers she found on YT Thank you Rusty's Momma for reaching out to this couple - so glad they had good news to share :) |
