lol I've seen those before...I agree with what someone else said above, you'd have to be careful and remember not to set your purse down or it'd run off!:p IMO, it doesn't look very comfortable for the dog. I wouldn't want my legs just dangling like that:rolleyes: |
While I don't think it looks particularly comfortable, the dogs in the pictures seem ok with it. The dog in picture 2 even appears to be having a pretty good time. I don't know that I would call it cruel. Maybe just odd? When I carry Jamie though I hold him with my 3 middle fingers on his chest and my thumb and pinkie behind his front legs and my palm supporting him. Other than him just dangling down by the hip, the purse harness seems to create much the same hold. So maybe it isn't that uncomfortable. Either way I probably won't be going out to get one. I'm pretty rough on purses (tossing it in the car, dropping it right inside the door, accidently bumping into people with it...) so I think I'll just keep Jamie up in my arms. |
I have heard and seen those and I think they are horrible and uncomfortable! |
We were in San Franscisco in October & a lady was carrying her poodle around in the purse/sling. He was trying to get out and was whining. The women just kept telling her dog to hush.....I think it looks uncomfortable. |
Yes that looks very uncomfortable and it looks like it could be painful to the dog, especially around their hips and shoulders. It looks like it could actually cut into them. I personally would never use it for my Sidney. |
Puppy Purse To be honest, I've never seen one before. Do you know anyone who has one? Quote:

Kash is very comfortable when i hold him like that, so i'm having an internal fight with myself about this product. the website describes the material as soft and stretchy (as not to cut off the circulation to the dog's legs...) they even have certain ones lined with faux fur... anyway, i still appreciate everyone's input. :) |
Looks uncomfortable to me. |
I try to imagine what I would feel like if a huge person was carrying me 20 feet in the air. Snuggled securely in their arm near their body would make me feel much more at ease than being dangled like a purse. Dogs are not objects, this pet purse treats them like one. It's not a nice way to treat and animal. My opinion! :) :thumbdown:thumbdown:thumbdown |
I don't care for them, but the pictures of making me laugh out loud!!! What is up with the guy in picture 3? Is he waving to his neighbor? I think the front carrier looks a little strange too. I agree with the post that said "a little dignity, please!" I can understand the need to find a convenient way to carry your baby, but then the furbaby starts looking like an accessory, I start getting a little weird about it. JMO |
Ok, I'm still laughing out loud at picture number 3!!! :yelrotflm:yelrotflm:yelrotflm:lol tears:lol tears |
I wouldn't get one. I can't see how an extended period of time being in one of those could be any good for the dog. IF it is for short term only....I'd save the money and just carry my baby:). A dog carrier-type purse works great. |
 It reminds me of this picture I just received in an email about this restaurant in the sky. http://by126w.bay126.mail.live.com/m...&d=d3953&mf=32 |
it does look uncomfortable to us...but the dogs don't seem to mind it...i mean i wouldn't use it for a long period of time but on those occasion like talking a walk in the park and the dog gets tired or you are getting ready to head back to the car and a huge dog is loose it makes sense to grab your baby up so the handles would be useful...and then walk to your car....hehe...i too thought about getting it...does the site have a return policy? |
