Interesting things happening! Our Jerry is 8 months old now and has been humping his favourite toy since he was only 4 months. It first looked like he was doing it for relief, but now he whines and makes sad noises when humps his bear. He sucks the arm of the bear to the point where you can squeeze moisture out. He is not neutered and we are planning to find a girlfriend in the near future. Is this normal? He doesnt seem happy anymore after humping... |
Unaltered males can get very frustrated when they can not satisfy the urge that their hormones are driving. If there is a female in heat within close proximity that he can smell...it is more frustrating. He'd be much happier and healthier if he were neutered. |
much happier if neutered? How would you feel???? I understand that North Americans are almost always for neutering, but come on, it isn't that hard to find a mate. I was only wondering if he is ready or having some health issues |
Several reasons why...most improve his health... Neutering (Castrating) Male Dogs & Puppies Males unlike females are always ready to breed. |
 I'd check out the posts about all the Babies with health problems from uneducated breeding practices. That is reason enough (along with the health benefits) to neuter. Sorry just my opinion. (your dog won't know the difference anyway.. except he will be less frustrated) |

Get him neutered. If not for him do it for the toy. It probably could us a break. |

LMAO !!! :bravo: |
I agree, get that poor guy neutered. Even if you find him a mate are you willing to be partially responsible for the puppies that he'll produce? Put him out of his misery, he'll be happier and and a whole lot healthier! |
