It's time Hi All, So, it's been nearly two years since the terrible accident and loss of our baby Milo and I think I am finally ready for a new baby - correction! I know I am ready. I am sure you would agree with me that two years is a very long time to go without puppy love! ;) Now the breeder I bought Milo from MIGHT have puppies at the end of July. My question to you guys is, if you have more than one Yorkie, did you go back to the same breeder? I know/like her but I am so impatient now and don't think I can wait until July. Thanks - and it's nice to be back and be able to read posts without getting a big lump in my throat! |
O how exciting, I am impatient as well |
I got both of mine from the same breeder. They are 1 year apart! Good luck to you! |
It sure sounds like your ready:) Mine are 1 month apart in age and I got them from the same breeder. We got Chachi 1st then decided we wanted his sister. She want very healthy and we knew she had problems but we wanted her She died while we were waiting on here. My breeder had another female from another litter and we ended up adopting her. I think if you are comfortable with that breeder all will be fine. Good luck and I hope you find your dream puppy |
How exciting for you. I wouldn't say you're impatient -- you've been without a little furbaby for 2 yrs. I know you will never forget Milo. I still remember the first puppy I got when I was 10 and lost her 10 yrs later. My Ginger will always be in a special place of my heart. |
I'm so happy for you that you are ready for a new puppy! I don't blame you for being impatient...once one makes up their mind to get one, the waiting is awful! Good luck! You could always look around and see if there's other good breeders and what their dogs look like. If you see one you fall in love with, go for it. Otherwise, wait for your breeder to have one available! |
i think that it would be a good idea to go to the same breeder if you had a good experience before... there is comfort in that. Why I went to the same breeder was because of the diet and training --- Jaya was my first puppy ever, and so when I bought her, I adopted all of the same practices as my breeder, ie. puppy pen, pee pads, type of bed, type of food, schedule, etc etc. It worked out wonderfully. Then when we got Jenna - because she had the same background, it was SO much easier to introduce her into the home. She fell into the same routine. Routine and behavior were big factors for me. I just could not risk going to another breeder, and bring home a puppy that was not used to being in an xpen, or used to using pee-pads, etc etc........ When jenna came to live with us, everything was the same as it was at the breeder's home. Hope that helps! |
