Does you dog ? Dig into what i call the Nothingness lol Memphis will just dig and dig and dig into anything couch ,floor, bed ,tile, ceiling (j/k) and theres Nothing there!!!! does anyone elses babies do this ? |
yes! kind of freaked me out for a bit, i was thinking that he was chasing a rat or something lol but he's gotten better now that hes older so maybe your baby will grow out of it? |
Alllllllllll the timeeeeeee! He loves to just dig and dig and dig some more and sniff and then dig. After awhile he looks up and his face is poofy from all the digging and sniffing. He looks like a little lion with a poofy mane. Hehe. Truffles is over a year old and he's been digging since we got him. |
yes she does this.. mostly before she settles into bed for the night though... like shes making the bed comfy |

Meeko digs into the couch all the time! I get freaked out thinking theres a bug or something there! The weird things is he never digs outside. I see other dogs at the dog park digging, but he doesnt. |

miss buffey likes to dig too but never outside for some reason lol she does it with blankets, pillows, bedding, couch, etc...i guess it makes her spot more comfortable before she settles down for a rest :) i always think it is soooo cute :D ... she works really hard at it too lol |
Terriers are naturally "diggers". Although I think it's funny too that some of the little ones don't like to dig outside where they can get to something.... LOL! |
Oh yes! Glory does it when I give her treats, and Callie does it when she wants to lay down! It is really funny to watch. |
Mingtoy does it when she is in her bed , also when she want to go outside she comes to me start digging , look at the door , if I don't open the door , she does it again . |

But Why? Buddy only does this when I wake up in the morning. He starts digging like a mad dog in the bed. I have been scratched on my face and arm because I just can not get him to stop. I thought he just wanted me to get up and out of bed. It's been going on for 3yrs and not even close to getting better. I put a chew bone in the night stand drawer to give him fast but he got so use to that it does not help anymore. His head goes down and his front paws dig like crazy and he just keeps going. I wish I could find a way to make it stop too. I pretend I'm still sleeping at times so I don't have to go threw this nonsence. But of course once he sees my eyes open all heck breaks out. |
Sadie does it too! The funniest is that she has a certain spot on the hardwood floor that she will dig. I always wonder if there is something under that board :eek: She will also dig on the couch if her bone or toy gets underneath it. Mainly she throws the toy and it slides under there. Once she realized we would come running when she would dig on the couch to make her stop she now does it for attention. But its really funny b/c her ears rotate out and she has this really intense look on her face so i try not to laugh as i make her stop. :rolleyes: She just learned to dig outside...of course she is going after bugs to eat them:confused: the holes are about 1 inch deep and 2 inch wide so i just go back and push the dirt back in w/ my foot and the next day she does it again. |
Jeanie digs at her daddy - and he always gets annoyed with her. There is never anything there, and she digs and digs. I think it's funny...he doesn't :laugh: |
I can understand this problem sal digs very long holes in the back yard. He digs into the sofa pad and pillows. We are having to buy a slip cover for the sofa and replace the pillows. |

Both Tucker and Lexie dig until their spot on the blanket, couch, or pillow is perfectly arranged for their comfort :rolleyes: Tucker also kicks his back legs back and scratches them on the floor after he's gone potty. I started to notice that he did this and gave him a treat after seen the potty on the pad. Now he kicks his feet back even if he doesn't go potty so I'll think he did and give him a treat. Smart brats :rolleyes: but you gotta love 'em:p :p |

Parker digs in the back yard, same spot everytime. I brought him inside one day and buried his poop there and then brought him back outside. Of course, he went to digging.......but came to a dead stop when he reached the poop. He hasn't digged since. He has never done it inside .... |
My Addison is a little digger! She ddigs on the couch, bed, pillows and soft things. Not so much in the dirt though! My favorite thing about her digging is when she stopps alternating paws and does the two paw power dig! She grunts along with it! Soooo stinkin cute! |
Yes!!! I dont have a clue why he does it but sometimes he will just start digging just as hard as he can dig, then when he gets tired he will lay down and dig sideways!!! Lol!!! They are just too funny!! |
