Anyone bought from Yorkie Rescue
 
I was just wondering if any of you can share your experience or give me advice on getting a dog from Yorkie Rescue. Some the prices seem a bit high (over $800).

the price of the dog is really just looked at as a donation.. many of the dogs that are priced that high have probably had alot of medical attention.. It's kinda like reimbursing them for what they have spent out of their own pocket for the dog.

There was a dog I looked at and it mentioned nothing about medical issues, just that she was very playful and loving. I am guessing that the price was based on her size (4.5lbs) and age (10 months). The donation price was $825.

I bet your right :) There are lots of people with rescues here... I am sure they will post. I don't think you will have many issues because she is still young. Since that is a little less than half for a yorkie pup I would say she is a great deal if she is all yorkie.

Post pictures if you decide to get her!

Is "Yorkie Rescue" the name of where you are getting him/her from or is it A Yorkie rescue? I just would be careful that your not being lead to believe your getting from a true rescue and not just someone that is calling themselves one.

Was she spayed, up-to-date on shots, groomed, etc.? :)

True.. check out the rescue to make sure it is a legit rescue!

When dogs are rescued they all come in with medical issues. Everything from spaying, neutering to dental problems and shots. The list can go on and on. A rescues vet bills are never paid in full for obvious reasons so that's the need to charge an adoption fee. It varies I suppose given the medical needs of an individual.:animal-pa
