Myself and My Yorkie Max are new here today Hey everyone. My name is Trista. I live in Upstate NY. Im a proud owner to one beautiful baby boy. He will be one in June. His name is Max. He is blue and gold, and absolutly beautiful. He is so full of energy all the time, but he does have some downsides to him. Which Ill explain if someone will like to know.. |
Please explain, we would love to know everything you would like to share about Max! Welcome:D |
Well Max is a wonderful dog like I stated before, but He wont stop peeing and pooping in his bed. He was crate trained as a puppy, and with two young kids myself and two other dogs, its hard to keep a constant eye on him 24/7 so he is in bed for quite a bit during the day or whenever i can't be watching him. What should I do to prevent this from happening? He is also very Horney he wont leave my other two female dogs alone, he is constantly humping them.. |
:welcome4: to YT We would love to see pics of your furbaby |
Welcome!!! I suggest neutering him. That might be a solution towards helping your problem. Also, I don't know if he's lifting his leg, but you might want to try a belly band? Get some pee pads and put them in his bed and he goes on them a few times, put them toward the door that you usually go out of the most. Good luck with getting him housetrained!!! :D |
Hi and welcome! I have a Maxx too. Is your Max fixed? I have 4 yorkies - 3 of them boys and my boys try to hump each other! lol. My vet said it was a dominance thing, not a sexual thing. Maybe that's it if he's fixed. |
Hello and welcome we would love to see pictures. |
Hi and welcome to YT!! |
1 Attachment(s) Hi and welcome to YT! I have a Max too; my first baby! He's 3 now, and I just acquired another male, Madison. Madison isn't neutered yet and he's kind of bad about lifting his leg everywhere (when I'm not looking)....belly bands are a god-send. I am hoping that once he's neutered, it will diminish, or hopefully STOP! But I love him anyway:D . Yes, post pictures of yours if you can; we love to see Yorkie faces! Here's Max and Madison: |

My first dog, Molly, would pee and poo in her bed and then lay in it!! She looked so depressed from the crate training. The vet said that they would never do that but mine did. I had to stop the crate training and use a ex pen type of situation, where her bed was next to her food and then I put 2 weewee pads down. She eventually did much better and she was alot happier. In her later years, she would go outside and fake squat and then come in and pee on the floor when I wasn't looking! Ugh! They are so tricky and smart. |
Welcome :) |
Hello and welcome to YT. Well, I think your Max is very, very frustrated and a bit confused and traumatized. First off if he isn't neutered, I strongly suggest getting that done. Next he needs to go for a couple of really long fast paced walks every single day. Next, use a belly band if you can't watch him, but don't crate him so much. ;) |
Welcome to YT! Breeding with yorkies is very tricky business. Please research before breeding. I know that I'm definitely not cut out for it! :D Hope you and Max have a good time here! |
Welcome to Yorkie Talk ! Time and Patience too it takes time ! After he eats -take him outside to walk till he goes!. If his scent in on his bed then he will keep soiling as his scent is there . You got to clean the bed so his scent isn't on it too Good luck |
