Belly Band Pad Question We just moved. The people who lived here prior to us had a dog. This is making Romeo want to mark his territory. I use the Go Fetch belly bands. I use regular pads. Is it dangerous to use scented pads? What is the advantage of using Poise pads? |
|
I have never used scented pads. There is a possiblility that they may cause skin irritation. The advantage of the Poise pads to me is they are super absorbent. They are made to absorb urine. They hold much more than a maxi pad if you have to leave it on for a long time. |

can you tell me how you cut them??? long ways? |

If I am home with them I use sanitary napkins cut in half, the super overnight ones. But if I am going to be gone longer than a few hours I use the poise. My guy is only 4 lbs though, so he doesn't pee in large amounts!! |

We've used Poise too for their absorbency. never tried cutting them but that's a good idea - just cut them in half about mid way. |

i dont cut them anymore...we did that and woke up the next morning and he was soaked from head to toe......we use the serenity pads because the absorb alot more than the poise.... |

Yes, if they are heavy pee'ers the side where you cut it leaks. I just use the whole thing. |

where can i get a good price on poise? |
|
I buy the generic version of Poise pads for Spike. There is no difference that I can tell. I've gotten Walmart and Publix brands. edit- just saw you're in NJ so probably don't have a Publix. I would think any generic would be the same. |

I buy the 72 pack of Poise at Walmart for around $12. I tried the "Options" brand this last time for a little cheaper, but they aren't nearly as nice. They still work, though. |

i dont know about the generic brands but i do know from experience with Smokey that the serenity pads are alot more absorbent than the poise pads |
