Let's not forget - if it wasn't for these extremists - FUR WOULD BE STILL POPULAR and we all know how fur coats etc are made. :( :( Thank God the world (at least our country) is waking up to the torture and cruelty involved in the fur industry and it's BECAUSE of these groups that the word is out there. |
oops not contributation lol, contribution would be correct. I can't believe I made up a word lol |
I use to be an avid supporter of Peta, and refused to believe some of the more extreme "rumors" I heard about them. However, with their primary goal of eliminating pet ownership, it doesn't matter how much good they have done in the past. Laws initiated by them would indeed hurt the ethical breeder as much as the puppymiller because they do indeed want ALL breeding stopped. As I suggested in post 6 for those of you who find it hard to believe all the things you've hard about Peta, please watch the HBO documentary: I Am An Animal: The Story of Ingrid Newkirk and PETA . This was not done as a bash piece and does show some of their good work, but most importantly, it allows Ms. Newkirk to speak for herself about her goals. I think some of you need to hear for yourselves what she has to say. I realize many people believe that the end justifies the means, but we must remember her main goal is the elimination of all pets. |

I think that if selective breeding never existed, animals would be better off. This goes for horses, cows, dogs, cats, etc. Ultimately, I would love for people to get to that point. However, since breeding is here, we owe something to the animals whose 'wild' survival instincts have been bred out of them. I think some of us need to be reminded that animals are not here for our entertainment. |

And YT doesn't make any money from the regular for sale section. While you have to donate to be a featured breeder or to sell clothing and such, you don't have to donate (or even have posted before) to place a for-sale ad. I just don't see the point in having puppy for-sale sections... |
I'm sorry but there is no way I can support an organization, PETA (or any like org.) that use the extreme measures they use to get a point across... There have been many other organizations and clans that have also used extreme measures to get their point accross and I don't think many of you would support those organizations either... PETA kills animals ...PERIOD...Would you give your pet up to them?...I know some of you support some of what they do but if you can't stand behind all the extreme measures they take then please do not support them... Yes, there are too many dogs, cats, etc in shelters today...I am a firm believer that if every breeder would rehome pets that came from their breedings there would be no need for shelters.. Stopping all breeding means the extinction of all dog breeds or public nusiance of stray, wild dogs in communities...HMmmm I don't see anything better about that! ~Laura |

 I've always said that PETA has done some great things as well, but I believe their intentions are really for the wrong reasons. They don't want to stop suffering of animals...in their own way they want to continue it. They want to eliminate our pets completely. I can't support an organization that wants to take my babies away from me |
