Question on adopting another Yorkie I have a two year old Yorkie with a very friendly personality, lately my husband has wanted to adopt another yorkie puppy. My question is, is it wise to bring a new puppy to the family with a two year old Yorkie already brought in? Cookie is a very good dog and extremely friendly but will her constant need for attention make her jealous against a new puppy? |
I think it's ok, just be sure to supervise them both when they are still unfamiliar with each other as the older yorkie may hurt the younger one. The more the merrier, goodluck on your second yorkie. |
I think Cookie would be okay. She might not even be so needy if she had a playmate! Good luck w/your decision |
Yes..I think the 2 year old would be okay with a playmate.. I have some little ones if you decide to get a new baby:D |
Most definitely. Gracie was 18 months when I introduced her new puppy sister, Holly. They are the best of friends. Just be sure to give Cookie everything first, before the puppy. First for food, first for attention, first for a new toy, etc. |
I have 3 yorkies, ages almost 3, 2 and a 6 month old and it is a riot to watch them interact and see them snuggled up together. I think that your baby will love the company. |
