How do you keep a topknot in?? How do you get them to stay in?? I never had this problem with my older one, but with my two littlest ones I tie them up with a tiny latex band, add a cute little bow.....all neat & tidy.....don't they look angelic :) Within an hour the bow's either hanging down over one eye, or dangling down the back, or disappeared altogether, so then it's hunt the bow all over the house  |
I couldn't keep Joey's topknot in either, until I followed the directions given in this website. http://www.thedivadogbowtique.com/howto.php |
my yorkie grooming DVD shows you how to put it in and keep it in. Two different topknot styles. My signature has a link to my website. Look at the "Instructional DVD's" menu. :animal-pa Sue & Cricket |
I can't keep one in Cali anymore because Roxie my 6 month old takes it right out. I just started being able to keep one on Roxie this week. As they get older they seem to adjust. |

Your post made giggle outloud the way it was worded because I have been there.. done that... and experienced it exactly as you said:D Mostly with my 2 shih tzus and have not tried on my yorkie yet. They are all three boys so my hubby doesn't think it looks to masculine, but I like them anyway! I read the post from the 2nd person and that is how I was taught to do the shih tzus too. Using the 2 seperate bands is key to keeping it in!! Good Luck! |
By praying :xfingers: ..it doesn't last long. I do find that the groomers rubber bands stay in well and then I can put a clip on top of that. If I put the clip in only she rubs her head and gets it out. |
Thank you for that link, I'll try that. It doesn't help when each thiinks the other's bow is a new toy to pull  |
