Our pen is about 2x6 and I think 22 inches high. I wanted to buy one but my husband actually build ours - he's very handy! I was concerned she would chew on it but it was never a problem. The first pic is when it was in our bathrm. The second pic is where it is now -in our kitchen. The 3rd is my daughter, Tia with our puppy Mariah! :D |
My 6 month old Lula also stays in her pen all day with food, toys, water, and pee pad but we have a dog sitter/walker come in 3 days a week to play with her and take her out and then my boyfriend and I each come home once a week during lunch to check in on her. What age would you suggest letting her have free range of the first floor, kitchen/living/dining area? She is doing good with the puppy pads... still has an accident once in a while but not often. |
Both hubby and I work - so Bailey is left in an xpen too. I was never concerned about pottying in the xpen. If I wasn't there to correct her - then there was no sense in worrying about it. And, just as expected- she taught herself to pee on the pads and then eventually held it all day. However, we were very dilligent about potty training in the house. We accomplished that within 2 mos. At first I was concerned about her getting bored and I worried about leaving her all day - but I soon realized that she expected the routine, she was safe - and gladly hops in the xpen every morning - with a treat of course!! Good luck! |
