I agree! My puppy had dry flaky skin while i used dog shampoo so last night i went out and bought a human conditioner by herbal essences (dangeroulsy straight) and a moisturizing shampoo and after he was dried and even this morning... no flakes! it was amazing! That is what i will be using from now on! (a plus is that it is cheaper too ;)
| Human conditioner is not that much different than dog conditioner in ph, so if you want to use a human conditioner, it will probably do no harm. However, human shampoo is very different in ph on the acid/alkaline scale, and can potentially harm your puppy's skin. Little white flakes are usually caused by not rinsing enough and of course this can happen with any shampoo you use. Most dog shampoos recommend diluting with water before you place on the dog. Skin problems can occur literally overnight, and can be a nightmare to cure. |
