Dog registry ust wondering if you had ever heard of the ACA - American Canine Association? I was reading some online ads, and came across these Yorkies that are ACA registered. So I did a little research. http://www.acacanines.com/ -- their website says "Welcome to the American Canine Registration, America's largest veterinary health tracking purebred canine registry." What a load of crapola! Garbage! If you click on ACA Form in the toolbar, it will ask you what kind of breeder you are, and then you print off the litter registration just like that! How stupid is this. This is just as dumb as the CKC that lets you send in photos of a dog that looks like a yorkie, along with a letter of second opinion and get registration papers for your dog, then start breeding 'yorkies.' Its all a great big bastardization of purebred dogs. It just all comes down to making money. (Those of you that are responsible CKC breeders, this is NOT directed to you! I know that you can show AKC papers and be CKC registered too! I just think that the first part is ridiculous) This makes me so mad!!   |
By the way, I've decided that hubby and I are going to start a get rich quick solution! The online registry American Yorkie Mix Association. Everyone! Pay me $30 and I will send you a NEAT looking certification for your Yorkie mix! :D |

Hey, can I get in on that. We could have a special registry for Teacup Yorkies too! I read frequently on the forum that there is no difference between the AKC and the ACA, and some members claim there dogs are registered in both clubs! I think part of the confusion is that some people get this mixed up with the legitimate Canadian Club, but that was probably intended. They are called vanity clubs which I think is a very good name for them. What kills me though, is all the people who could register their dogs with the AKC, but don't because they aren't planing to breed or show. The AKC does a lot of good work, and I wish people would support it. |

If the dog is registered through another registry. You have to send in a copy of the dogs registration paper work . Registries AKC, ACA, APRI, CKC ..etc are only as good and honest as the breeders using them. I have ACA female that I breed to an AKC male and I have to send a copy of his AKC registration papers every time I register a litter...;) |

Yeppers!! Alot of buyers have other motives when getting a puppy and agreeing to limited registration. What easier way is there to aquire quality breeding dogs? Dump the AKC, fool the breeder of the puppy and get full breeding rights and "registration" papers with the alternative registry. |
no gurantees no matter your registry or contract. When I used to show in AKC, Canadian KC, and United KC I had a few litters. I always spayed or neutered before the pup left my home. I sold a couple of pups as show dogs with open registration, but they had to get their CH. before being allowed to breed them. Your contract is only as good as the buyers word. I have even had a dear freind let me down... Sue & Cricket |

According to their website, they care more about their own brand of mastercard and kid's activities, which take up half of their page, rather than dedicating themselves to teaching the public about responsible breeding and about truly purebred dogs. If you look at their contact information, their email address is @AOL.COM - LOLOLOL. You know this is probably run out of someone's apartment. Actually, I just checked maps.google.com where you can see a satellite image of any address, and it looks like a bunch of apartment buildings and a residential area. what a rip off. |

There you go! Now you've got it! lol -- I wonder, if we made a website like that, how many people would actually give us their money? LOL. I'm thinking quite a few. I'm going to add this to my list of future business ventures. :D |
and there is a reason why I will only buy akc........ |
amen. :angel2dl: |
Callie is ACA registered but we didnt know anything about the types of regastering and stuff we probably didnt do enough research about that kinda stuff before we got her or about the breeder. To be honest he might have run a puppy mill because he drove to meet us and he had other puppies with him that wernt yorkies and he had more yorkie girls then would have just come from one litter and I really didnt think about it until afterwords when we got home. But I really love Callie and am happy with my baby! |
