Droopy ear
 
Olivia's ears have been up since I got her. Since last weekend, her one ear has been drooping. I thought she might be teething so I've been giving her some extra calcium, but it's still down. The hair on her ears isn't real long, but is that what could be causing it? I'm taking her to be groomed on Saturday. Is it enough to have the hair on her ears trimmed, or does it have to be shaved? Should I have to groomer tape her one ear, or will it pop up on its own?

Owivia! I bet you is perfect wit one dwoopy eawr! Boft of my eawrs awr dwoopy, dey neber went up! My bwudder, Bandit (RIP) had one up and one down and it dwove mommy cwazy. I am sure you eawrs will go back up when you are done teething. Tell mommy to hab dem shaved just in case. Den we need to see pictures! I want to see new pictures of you anyway because da odders hab too much slobber from all of my puppy kisses! Luv Tucker

Your puppies ears will come up in time on there own.

For me it did not bother me until someone mentioned that yorkies ears are suppost to stand up. Chester ears came up around 7-8 months.
Don't worry about it , I would not tape her ears. They will come up in time.

I LOVE DROOPY EARS! My Katie's ears stick up - she looks like ET! :D

Hi.. She's cutting teeth also clip ear even if the hair isn't long it can be heavy .. My dogs have heavy hair and it don't take much to pull them down.. lay her ear over your finger and clip toward the tip keep it clipped tight the lst yr. Also a little hamburg meat ball twice a day will help.. I had a lady who bred Boston's tell me that.. she'd bred for yrs..

Do groomers tape ears? Do I need to shave her ears, or just cut the hair close?

Both of my yorkies ears drooped down like that and they both came up on their own.
