I will be going to persmart n i would like something with all natural stuff that smells really good lol. another thing is what temp water do i use? I was thinking about using of course warm water. Hope this helps.. :) |
I would go what Nicole said. I do blow dry mine after I let them run around and roll in warm towels out of the dryer. Mine all like the blow dryer so it's not a problem. As far as shampoo I use Petsilk or Chris Christensen but you have to order online. Buddywash is pretty good and can be found at some petshops. |
We use a shampoo called Spa Scents for Dogs and Cats on Sasha and Jasmine. It is great! It makes them smell like Kewi Mango. It can wash out the smell of poop on Jasmine(yuck!). Which is so hard to get rid of! Anyway, it gets every puppy smel away!:D |
Like the others have said, never test the temperature with your hand. Hands can tolerate much higher temperature than the rest of the body. The forearm is good for testing temperature and always ere on the side of coolness, you won't give your puppy a cold if the water is too cool, you can seriously hurt him if the water is too hot. Be sure to buy a conditioner for your puppy, this is as important as shampoo because it conditions the skin as well as the hair. I like several different brands, but if your going to Petsmart one brand they carry is "Spa" by Groomax, they have different scents, I love the "Baby Fresh." I blow dry too with a quiet hair dryer. |
just a little side note... r these tear free. im freaked out about this n i wud really hate to get some on her eye. how do i was around the face anyway? |

i just gave pebbles a bath like 30 min ago... i used minksheen 4 in 1, for the first time...i think i like it, even though it has a strong smell.. i can smell it on my hands as i type :p it came highly recommened. anyway, its supposed to make the hair really shiny, but i cant tell if it worked cus pebs hair is always shiny :) i towel tried her, got the water out the ears if there was any.. and then i blow tried her on cool setting, which is actually just like "wind setting" it has a pretty even temp. anyway, pebbles hates the bath AND the blow try.. she shivers.. but when im done she just runs away all happy and cleeeannn :animal36 |

I Have never heard of those. But when we give Sasha and Jasmine a bath, we normally wait untill after the bath and keep them in there and grab a washclothe and was their faces like that. I found that blow drying keeps them warmer. Then, if they are still cold, we put them in clothes that are nice and warm. |
I love the Earth Bath All Natural Puppy Shampoo. It smells so good and is all natural. Good luck! |
