Used the Puppy Growth Chart but still need help 1 Attachment(s) Hi all, Im relatively new and have a 16 week old pup :) her name is Bindi and she is absolutely beautiful!! She was weighed today at the vet and is 4lbs and 1oz. I checked on the growth chart and she didnt fit anywhere!! is she going to be a giant yorkie? lol also, if you can recall, what did your baby weigh at 16weeks? Attached is a pic of her from the Dog Park (i went with a fellow YTer SilyJille) Thanks! Vaishali |
Goodness, he just has the cutest lil face! Mmmm.. well, my Bentley is going on 6 months & he weighs around 4lbs. On the other hand, my Bobby (RIP) weighed about double his weight at 6 months. It wil more than likely depend on the amount he eats & how much he's exercising. Either way, he's adorable! |
Mia was 16 weeks last Wednesday. She was at the vet on Friday and weighed just under 3 pounds. Bindi is a lil cutie pie! |
Ahh, I read it wrong.. sorry for saying 'he' when Bindi's a 'she'. |
I cant help with your question but I wanted to say she is sooooo cute even if she is going to be a giant |
shes a cutie,, but i'd guess she'll be a cute little TeaPot!! at around 7-8 pounds adult :aimeeyork |

lets see... remy at 16 weeks was about maybe 3lbs.. now she is 6months and weighs about 3lbs 5 ounces. :D |
It depends on her rate of growth. The charts are only a guideline. She will probably be on the large end though |
pebbles will be 16 weeks on fri and she is 2 pounds exactly :animal36 |
I'm not sure on even how to use that chart but Jasmine is 2 yrs and 3 months next Tuesday (april 1st) and she weighs 8 but she's not large she just has long legs, but even if yours does weigh within the 7-8lb range they are still small, jmo she sure is a cutie pie though!!!!! i wish i had dog parks like that where i lived!! |
Growth charts are never completely accurate...just a guideline. Just to give you an idea though: Maddie was about 2.5 lbs at 16 weeks, and is now 5 lbs full grown. Sophie was about 2 lbs at 16 weeks, and is now 3.5 lbs at 11 months. Faith was about 1.5 lbs at 16 weeks, and is now 2 lbs, 6 ounces at almost 7 months. Ryder was a pound at 16 weeks, and is now 2 lbs, 5 ounces at almost 7 months. Tucker was about 3 lbs at 16 weeks, and is now 4.5 lbs at 9 months. |
Ramsey was 5 lbs at 15 weeks. She is two now and weighs 11 pounds. She's not fat....she's big boned. ;) Sometimes doubling their 12 week weight is more accurate than that puppy growth chart. |
thanks all for the replies!!! lol its ok for the he/she mix up! i knew whatcha meant. dont worry :-P she doesnt seem big to me at all. i actually dont want her to stay as small as she is right now.Im constantly on her making sure she doesnt sneak off somewhere. id like her to in the 6lb range. i think ill be less scared with her playing with other dogs then. :) thanks again!! |
Bindi is a cutie. Roxie was 4 months when I got her and she was 2 lb 13 ounces and now at 25 weeks she weighs 3.6 lbs so they do slow down in their growth sometimes early. Roxie has long legs and is taller at 25 weeks then my 2 an 3 year olds that weigh more. So weight can be deceptive. |
Elvis just went to the vet's day before yesterday and at 161/2 weeks, he weighed 3 lbs 6 oz. Vet said he's a little on the thin side weight-wise, but it's because he had a growth spurt and believes that his weight will catch up, but we're keeping an eye out. He really is skinny as a rail right now. |
At 16 weeks and two days, Tucker was 2.75. He's almost 7 months. I haven't had him weighed since then. I would guess that he is between four and five pounds now. |
Phoenix just came from the vet and hes 11 weeks weighing a whoopin 4.5 lbs:eek: He gained 1.5lbs in almost 3 wks lol. So hes gonna be a teapot and i LOVE it!!:D The vet said he knows hes eating good  |
thanks for all the replies! |

To answer the OP, Kash was exactly 2 pounds at 15 weeks, it's only been a week and a half since he was weighed, so i'm assuming he hasn't gained much since then... he could be 2.1 pounds... |
Hiya!:) Your Bindi is a real cutie.:aimeeyork :aimeeyork Our Tinkerbell is a double of your Bindi, in looks, colour and weight, she is 16 weeks and weighs 4lb11oz. We are over the moon with her size, any smaller for us would be such a worry to us, with our two grandchildren being with her as they are both under 3 and are running about all the time. Have fun and enjoy your little one:animal-pa |

Bindi is very pretty. It's so hard to predict the weights. Usually you double the weight at 12 weeks. But seriously, there are so many that weighed 2 pounds at his age and ended up close to 12, you just never know. The breeder should have a clue from observing her line. She could have put her weight on quickly and will slow for instance. |
LOL.. Giant yorkie.. aww.. she's so cute.. my yorkie is 16 weeks too and he's only 2.25lbs... we're always so worried about him cuz he's so little, we wish he would get big and strong!! But don't worry, 4lbs is totally not giant at all... that's still tiny (compared to other breeds)! I heard somewhere that you can estimate size by doubling their height and weight at 13 weeks. |
