Dog Auction Hi Guys, I was doing some search on the internet and I came across this.I thought I've heard of every cruel thing they can possibly do to a dog but I was wrong.I wanted to share this with you so that you are aware that stuff like this actually happen.I wantched the video and it just broke my heart. How could someone possible make a living doing something like this?Is this even legal? Here's the website: http://www.awawatchdog.com/0105/ This website pretty much explains everything you need to know. Can you believe the auction is owned by a DVM of all people. You figured he would be the first to stop something like this. http://www.nopuppymills.com/forum/sh...ad.php?t=13069 Tell if you ever been to one and what do you think. |
oh my gosh that has to be one of the saddest things i've ever seen!!! who would actually buy one of those dogs???? poor things must be so scared of people. and then the one who was putting his paw on the cage was so upsetting. why are people like that here? |
money Money and greed fuel the puppymiller to treat animals like this.. God told us in the scriptures, He gave us dominion over the animals. He showed us, by His example how He cared for his animlas in the Garden of Eden. God made the animals before He made Adam and Adam was created not only as a friend to God , but to care for the animals. If God went to all this work to ensure His animals were cared for, what do you think He is going to do to those who have tortured animals in this manner? I would not want to stand before God after my death if I was involved in these practices. Of course if a person does not believe in God or an after life, I guess they are not concerned.. |
crappy sick greedy b-----ds with no heart do this, those poor doggies the only way to help them all is to have them kindly put to sleep out of there misery and away from sicko's like that. it does make me soooooooooo MAD wendy and rosie :rose: :yorkiesar |
I've seen that before. Don't know how you would find an actual dog auction. Wouldn't mind going to one and stir stuff up! |
Disgusting! Those people make me sick! |

Imagine a group of us wearing are anti-puppy mill shirts underneath a jacket, then at the right moment, everyone stands up and removes their jackets. What a statement! |

Took the words out of my mouth! Those kind of people make me sick! I couldn't bare look at the video. I am extremely sensative when it comes to animals, but I can imagine how bad it is from all of your comments. And that vet should not be able to practice anymore..... he's not doing good for the animals! |
That is so sad...There is no way I would ever but a dog from a auction. |
The really sick part of this is the video of the people laughing with the auctioneer while he attempts ridicule to deflect the investigators and the poor dogs all go nuts. What is wrong with them? How can they think any of this could be funny? |
that is so horrible!! |
In Wheaton, MO there are auctions every week. Many Amish buy their stock from there. You will see many buggies tied up on one side of the lot and their horses on the other. frequently without shade or water. The auctions are held by I believe I have the name corrrect--Southwest Auctions. I have gone on that site and read what breeds, how many and even if they have a mother still nursing babies or is pregnant. If you would like to search it and find that I have the wrong name, please correct me. Last year, an auction was held in the auditorium of a HIGH SCHOOL in Ohio. Pics were briefly taken by a rescue group and the security threatened to destroy the camera..This is BIG business and they are quite serious about protecting their stock.. One founder of a rescue cannot go to the auctions now-her life has been threatened. They raise funds and get someone to go to the auctions and bid on the breed they rescue. Their stories are gut-wrenching. |

I had never even heard of such a thing until a few weeks ago when I met someone thru the net that goes to these things. She bought a couple of dogs and apparently got a good deal. I asked her "What about the backgrounds? Are you allowed to talk to the breeders?" She didn't know much. I THINK she bought 2 Yorkies and I couldn't believe someone would do that who should know better. She's only been breeding Yorkies a short time (2 litters) but she breeds some other type of dog (can't remember) and I just thought she should know better. |
