I appreciate everyones response. I have got Raven eating fairly well now. I mix the science diet along with a little Moist food and sprinkle it with parmesean cheese. The cheese has done the trick. In fact I ran out of the moist food this morning, and she ate the dry with the cheese sprinkled on it. I just wet it slighly so the cheese would stick. |
Hi everyone....just glad to see that I am not the only one dealing with this....My little Nemo is going to be 7 months on the 28th of this month, and I still have a big problem with him eating I have wasted so much food and money he is extremely picky and want eat anything all day if it is not what he wants....I keep nutracal with me at all times I am sorry but I have not been able to stick with the same soft dog food.....and he still want eat his dry dog food without some soft in it.....some days he will eat from a spoon another day if he eats it is from his bowel another day it may be the floor, I just don't understand.....he needs to start eating because he is growing but he is not getting any weight on him.....I boiled him some chicken yesterday and he ate it all.....I was so happy that he ate as well as he did even though he may not have needed..... |
My vet said to stick to one food. Put it down a small handful at a time so it looks like he doesn't have much. Then leave it and forget it and he will eventually eat it. I know how worrisome this can be for you, but it ends up being a game after while. It worked really good for my dog. No problems at all now. It's worth a try! |
I left Lilli and Lexie on the food the breeder had them on an dI can say I have never had a problem with Picky Eaters. I know this sounds bad but leave her on one food and if she gets hungry she will eat it.Yorkies are very smart dogs they know how to get what they want so stick to it and she will learn . |
. I now give her Nutrical a.m. and p.m. The vet said sometimes the transition can stress them out are not eating right. How much Nurtri Cal are you giving? Is it possible that she has too much nurti cal and isn't hungry enough to eat food? Also you might try soaking dry food and add some cottage cheese or yogurt to it to entice her some.. changing food too fast can cause an upset tummy and you don't want that with her. Try eliminating the AM nutri cal if you are going to be home to watch her closely and see if she might eat more food. |
