tissue obsession is it just macca that has an obsession with tissues or does anyone else have this problem to ? if i have tissue in my pocket he will go crazy, scratching at my pocket to try and get it out and if there is any tissue left in his view he will snatch it and try to eat it , we have had to chase him a number of times to get it off him ? it doesnt seem to matter if the tissue is used or unused !!!! i was thinking it may be some kind of sent in the tissue ? any ideas ????:animal36 :animal-pa |
Welcome to YT! Boomer doesn't chew up anything but paper! He goes crazy for it, and tears tissue or ANY kind of paper into a million pieces. His favorite toy is an empty toilet paper roll:rolleyes: |
my Roxi does it too!! If there is any tissue or parer towels she will shred them if she gets a chance!! its just a puppy thing.. I hope! |
Johnny Loves Those Things Too 2 Attachment(s) Johnny will grab just about anything that he can shake and shred. Guess it's his killer instinct! Our toilet paper is no longer on its holder because Johnny grabs it and runs through the kitchen with it. It is a funny site! The box of tissues had to be relocated too. He also pulled the newspaper from the bottom of his crate and shredded that. He no longer needs newspaper in the bottom of his crate saving me hours of picking up. It's a puppy thing. :D There are so many puppy things, aren't there? |
Welcome to YT. My Yorkie loves tissue's more than toys!! One of his favorite things in the whole world! I have allergies, so there are usually kleenex's around. |
Yes! When Linus was younger, he was obsessed with tissues, napkins, any paper product. When we wanted to pick him up, we would lure him to us with kleenex! He's less obsessed now that he's older, but if there happens to be a stray piece of paper around, he'll tear it to shreds. i think they like paper because it's the one thing their claws can actually tear apart! |
You are not alone, Wrigley has a thing for tissue as well. In fact I had Sonja from Pocomutt make her a shirt that says " I don't have a tissue issue " I think that says it all! |

Callie loves tissue too! We had to buy trash cans with the lids because she would just go in there a get the tissue and run around with it but she has a doggy door so she takes it ouside now and throws it all around the yard! If I leave a tissue box on my night stand she will pull the tissues right out of the box! |
LOL, this is too funny! I was hoping Bella wasn't the only dog that has this problem. I was thinking maybe it was just a puppy thing...but she's almost a year old and still loving the tissue! :D |

Teddy will chew anything paper he can get. Toilet paper apparently makes him very angry, because he kills every roll within his reach. I can't even pee pad train him, because he tears them up - how do you stop them from doing that with the pee pads??? :confused: |
