What Yorkie book....
 
Hi,
I was wondering what would be the best Yorkie book for newbies...?

I realized after my first couple of posts that I was probably asking stupid questions and questions that had been asked about 50 million times! Sooooo, I would like to educate myself, but there are so many books out there, I don't know which ones are good and which ones aren't so good...Any recommendations?

How many shots does my yorkie need? Pet smart has a deal for $100.00 and $24.00 a month for 1 year that includes all shots, neutered, and well check up. Is this a good deal?
Should I also take the class for potty training for $100.00 for 8 wks would this be a good idea or is this something can do on my own?

they need 3 sets of needles usually the vet gives them their needles I haven't heard of Petsmart giving needles. How old is your baby? I think I would be going to the vet in anycase when it comes to my baby's health record. but that is only my opinion for what it is worth.

My favorite Yorkie book is "The Complete Yorkshire Terrier by Joan B. Gordon and Janet E. Bennett. It's an older book but still has great information and very detailed about the history of the breed. You can find it on Amazon or someone here did have a copy for sale recently, you might check the Sale section.

Hi and welcome to YT. Don't know if I would use Petsmart for vet care, although that does sound like a good price. It just depends on what vet they use as to whether or not I would go with that deal.

We did use their obedience class which included potty training for the same price. I liked the trainer and taking the class was helpful for actually showing you how to train.

I have all of them in print that I know of, but my favorite one is the hardback white covered one. It is in the Terra-Nova series and is called "The Yorkshire Terrier" by Deborah Wood.
