and the fun continues..... So for 1.75 days Nico was the perfect dog. He peed and pooped outside, walked on the leash like a big boy. Then in the house he peed and pooped on the paper, I praised him, gave him a treat. Last night, he peed two times under the table, again, then this morning he peed on Madison's bed. So I took the cover off the bed and threw it in the washing machine and he went on it ripped the lining and started taking out the fuller. He is pushing me over the edge, and Madison is suffering for it. I had to take away her bed (right now its in the washing machine) and its not fair to her. So he is gated now and being quiet. The kicker is, he pees on the floor right in front of me and the paper is so visible to him. I thought once they get fixed, they pee less frequently. I do remember that Madison had accidents when she was little, but when I scolded her (by voice only) she was scared, this one has no fear, he runs and jumps and is out of control. He is starting obedience class on April 9 for 8 weeks. If this does not help I don't know what I am going to do. |
It sounds like you need an exortist not a trainer:D Seriously, how old is your scamp? If you are getting nowhere with yelling, have you tried shaming him? If I ever yelled at Sawyer, he would probably think it was a great game; but if I shame him, it really gets his attention. Yorkies really do usually love our attention, and he seems to have found a way to get plenty of yours. If you shame him, and then ignore him for a few minutes he may get the idea of what it takes to get your attention in a ggod way. Good luck:) |
Don't know how old your furbaby is but neutering doesn't teach him to control his bladder. Only time takes care of that. I'm sure that you have picked up on YT that Yorkies tend to be a stubborn bunch in general. Quite a few talk about their little ones having accidents. As for tearing out the stuffing, that is a familiar past-time around here. Calls for new toys quite often. Even blankets bite the dust. Just the way it goes. They're busy little buggers.:D |
They're all different!! Remember, like skin babies, furbabies are all different. Just because Madison was docile and easily trained, it doesn't necessarily follow that Nico will be the same.:rolleyes: In fact, I follow the idea that odds are, if you get one beautifully behaved baby, the next one will be that much more mischievious.:p But really, don't you just love 'em anyway????:animal36 |
