Camp Fido - Doggie Day Care Today was my two pups first day at day care! Theo is steadily getting bigger and really needs to be able to get the exercise he needs. (My boy is 16.4 lbs now!) And Bella needs to be more socialized with other dogs. So, I signed them up for doggie day care! It is this amazing place in Kalamazoo. There are two sections to the dog camp. Both sections have access to fenced off outside areas. The dogs are never crated. Only for meal times or "time outs." Bella was freaking out when I dropped her off. She just barked and barked at the worker and all of the other dogs. They put her in a crate on the other side of the fence so she could see and smell the dogs and calm down. I thought for sure I would have to come pick her up. I called two hours later and asked them how Bella was doing and they said she was playing with all the other dogs just fine and she kept sliding under the gate that blocks off the dog area from the office because she is so tiny. Can you believe it? They have at least 40 dogs every day there and most of them are big dogs! Anyone that is in this area should try them out.  www.campfido.com |
Their probably going to be really tired for you tonight. ;) Sounds like they both are having a good time. I've never taken mine to doggie day care but the one girl in here where I work does about twice a month and her dog loves it.Do they have a doggie cam that you can click on to see them? Let us know how they are for you tonight. |
A doggie daycare sounds like so much fun. Living in a small town has it's down side. Also think it would be fun to run one. Just like grandkids. Love them for awhile and send them home at the end of the day.:D |
