New here, want to get familiar with the breed
 
Hello everyone my name is Brandi. I am married and have 2 kiddos. I also have a zoo in my house. We have a rabbit, guineapig, 2 ball pythons, leapord gecko and a great dane. I am wanting to add a yorkie to our family. I am not going to buy for awhile untill I fully research these guys. In my childhood my bestfriends mom was a breeder of bulldogs and yorkies. I fell in love with these little guys and have since wanted one. I hope to become part of your group and by fall have a little one to share with yall.

i also TOTALLY appaud you for doing your research.. so many just buy because they are small and cute. Welcome to Yorkie Talk.. i LOVE Danes and hope to have one in the future :) can we see pictures of your "zoo"?

Here are the 2 snakes and Zak, I will have to get pics of the others, I thought I had them on my computer but I don't. Thanks for the warm welcome!!!

Hi Brandi, Welcome to YT!! It's so nice to see that you are researching the breed first. I had wanted a Yorkie for over 10 years and this November 30th I got my baby boy! I love my little Jeter and am so glad to of found this site BEFORE I brought him home, I learned a lot in the 5 months of being on before got him!

Welcome to YT...enjoy your stay here. You can always use the search feature for specific questions about Yorkies. Or just ask...there's a ton of knowledge here and everyone is always so helpful with our problems. I've had Yorkies for 16 years and I still learn so much from this site. I hope you love it as much as I do!!!

ok i am IN LOVE with Zak and i think he should come live with me :p he looks like such a love!

HAHA He is a love!! He does not realize his size at all. He thinks he is a lap dog. I have to say though, I don't think I have met a more loving breed of dog when it comes to Great Danes. No matter what your mood he just loves on you, even if he is in trouble.

thats what i hear about Danes... i saw a 4 month old this week.. his ears weren't cropped he was just THE sweetest thing i'd ever seen. when i move out and get married i definitly want a great dane....

Hello and welcome. We have a zoo also. We have 2 yorkies, a cat, 2 hamsters, a turtle, an aquarium with fish. And we are getting a bird and 2 sugar gliders

Brandi you sound like me...I have 3 rats, 11 fish, 2 cats, and a parrot. I use to have 2 hamsters but they died. I'm getting my yorkie in less than two weeks now and I can't wait. I did the same thing as you...I researched breeders and how to care for them, how to train, and everything before I decided. I was a little worried about my cats at first but now I know she will be alright with them...and they love dogs so thats perfect!
