confused about buttons behavior at the sitters hi, i left buttons with the lady i had purchased her from for 4 days, not good! now at home she uses pee pads and is clean, now the sitter told me she would not look after her again because my dog was dirty!!!!!! now iam upset, buttons is not dirty at home and i dont know why she was when she was there, i know they have two other yorkies and also 2 males that go there who are not fixed and do lift there leg and dribble everywhere.. now could buttons of peed on the rug because of that or because she was mad that we left her, i dont understand and i didnt like being told my dog was dirty.. or could she have remembered the spot as a pup...i dont know iam so confused i feel bad for them but iam also mad... i phoned everyday and asked and was told everything was fine, if they would of told me i could of made other arrangements for her... iam just very upset and wondering now what my baby went through when i was gone.... |
I wouldn't be very happy with anyone telling me Sophie was dirty. |
i dont know why buttons would of picked a spot on the rug to pee on when her pads where suppose to be there.....unless she spelled another dogs urine.. or is it a normal reaction for her being left there.... |
What a dumb thing for the breeder to say! I bet your baby was just confused at being left, and was afraid you weren't coming back. No matter what the reason, that lady is used to small dogs, and should have been better able to deal with the lapse in potty training. I don't think your baby is dirty, I think your breeder is doopy;) |
what? I can not imagine telling a client that their dog (the dog I sold them mind you) was dirty!! that is the craziest thing I have ever heard. If her dogs dribble pee everywhere why would she care? There must have been another reason. It doesn't even make sense! I mean she could have helped you by working on the potty training if you were incompetent at it (not saying you were just that that would have been the thing to do) since she sold the pup. Most breeders, myself included, consider their pups part of the family forever! I question her ethics and more! |

i think i will, and shes not anyone i would classify as a breeder, just an old lady who had a female and joined it with a male, shes had 3 litter, and the first litter all the pups except one died because she didnt realize mom did not produce any milk for her pups... |
I'd have been hurt if anyone called my baby "dirty", and would have asked them WHY they said such a thing! but,,i'd not be leaving the baby with the "lady" again,, I take it there are no potty issues once back home? |
Maybe her dogs are the dirty ones and pees and poop all over the house and your poor pup just smelled it and went where they had gone. Which would happen. Maybe she just needed to pass the blame!:thumbdown |
Please do not allow your baby to be left with her again. I can't imagine anyone who loves dogs to say something hurtful like that ... especially one of her own puppies. I have taken care of some of our puppies who have gone on to their forever homes and I always expect them to have accidents. Even though they were born and trained here the rules at their new home are different and they be become confused. A few days is not nearly enough time to pick up the rules of the babysitters home and it really isn't the dogs fault. You have all the right in the world to be upset .... |
shes back to going to her pads, no problems at home, seems a little timmid, just gave her a bath, and is doing better. |
