Help with girl's name
 
We are trying to come up with a few names for a little girl Yorkie. I have wanted to keep with the Yankee's name theme. I have a perfect girls name that keeps with this, Petrick's Little Princess Babe Ruth, calling her Babe or Ruthie ( Babe is what I like best) me and 2 of the boy's think this is cute sounding and we get our Yankee name!! BUT my husband and 2 of the other boy's don't want to name a girl any Yankee name:confused: He said they will not sound right:confused:

My husband wants to see about other names:( He is looking at Japanese names that mean Small Beautiful female Demon and I have no way of knowing how to say this in Japanese let alone how to spell it or look up these words! Any one know how I can find these words in Japanese. I think Yasha is female demon, I read it in a Japanese book on myths in school. Any help would be appreciated because he said that if it doesn't go well together then We might stick with the Yankee name :xfingers: Thanks!!

I wish I had a little girl sigh....

Well, a woman I met at school named her yorkie girl "Cindy PupCakes." I thought that was cute.

I'm going to break out the baby name book like I did when I got Bentley. That is, if I'm ever lucky enough to get another one.

Haha! I have have given him a few choice words on this matter! It's the 2 younger boy's that I have to bribe somehow, they are obsessed with Japan right now! my 11 son to be 12 year old wants a Kimono for his birthday si he can be some guy on Naruto(ms??). He also said that when he grows up he is moving their so he can read all the Manga and see all Anime movies when they first come out!

I just have to find these words and put them together and show him it would not be right, that Babe is the way to go! He said we could name all the boy puppies that we end up with after the Yankees. If I didn't have the idea of Yankee Yorkies for the past 10 years, then I might like the Japanese names! I

I thought of using Rivera as a girl name, Something like Petrick's Lady Rivera as her registered name and call name Rivera. That sounds cute, I really was hoping to get to use the most Famous Yankee player as a name and Babe is so cute a name!! I can come up with great Yankee names, not Japanese names!! I only know Ayami means Iris and is a girls name in Japan, my friend from school was named this. Hopefully he will see the light. I think he is being bull headed because he Hates the Yankees because he is a Indians fan.

I like the name Piper for a girl. Of course it has nothing to do with the theme you are looking for.......

Just tell hubby that you like the suggestion but you have started a tradition and Yankees names it will be hahaha:D Babe is a girls name I don't know why he thinks it doesnt sound right. Besides if he needs an example there is a character on ALL MY CHILDREN named Babe..

InuYasha means "female demon dog," but it has four syllables, which is long for a dog to respond to... maybe Yasha (female demon) is the best name for her... i think it's pretty and different.

unfortunately, i'm korean so i can only give translations for that... babe or baby in korean is "aegi" pronounced "eh-gee."

YIKES! :eek: I wouldn't want to name my baby demon anything! But that's just me. I like your idea of Babe :) It's very cute.

Tell him that if you go with his name and she turns out to be a stinker, he gets to take care of her all the time! ;)

Funny you mention InuYash because we watch that Anime show on cartoon network and we start to collect the DVD of the box set and the 4 movies! That is how the 2 boy's got the name Yasha. He wants me to find the word for Small and Beautiful to go with Yasha. Thank you on pronouncing Babe for me.

But I like the name Babe Ruth that is cute to.
