My boy is home Altho Nico is very uncomfortable with the dreaded cone, I tried taking it off and the first thing he did was go for the stiches, so on it will stay. I gave him some water at 7:30 he held it down so I hand fed him some wet food (Innova) because they did indeed pull some teeth. I feel so bad leaving the cone on but I know its the right thing to do. Thank you all for your prayers. Even my ten year old Maltese kind of gave him a little kiss and his tail was wagging. I just love him so much. Thanks again. |
Heres to a speedy recovery. |
There has been a suggestion on different threads to use tiny baby onesies instead of the cone. I have also seen a pillow type of wrap that goes around the neck that prevents them from reaching the stitches. Here's the site: http://www.jbpet.com/index.php?main_...oducts_id=2756 Glad your furbaby is home, safe and sound with you. |
Thanks for suggesting that collar but by the time I order it his cone will be off. He seems okay now, he is in his crate asleep and Madison is keeping a close eye on him I am sure tonight I will sleep with one eye open. I am just thankful that he took some water, a little food and he peed. |
iam happy he is home and doing well, those cones are a real pain, But its for the best;) |
