Thank you all,,,, I am so happy. He is a good boy. He's already 2 and a bit set in his way. My mother in law went to a baby shower this past weekend and one of her nieces had been looking for a home for her yorkie. He was given to her daughter from her daughters godmother (who's only 4) The little girl loved her dog but they just couldn't give him the proper care and attention he needed. So my mother in law naturally thought of me. Of course I got on the phone and made plans to pick him that very day. It all happened so fast. And I really feel it was meant to be. I was planning on getting my girl this year but with the new baby coming I didn't think it was the right time. Plus with the cost of adding a new room for my daughter and getting ready for this baby had put a big big dent in our pocket books. But you know what,,, It's all worth it! I wish she would have waiting till she was older but I have a precious grandson on the way. Anyway, I was a bit disappointed on not being able to get my puppy, so when I got the call of a yorkie, a grown yorkie, a free yorkie,,,, there was no way I was going to let the opportunity pass. And I am so happy. He is a bit home sick and we have to keep a very close eye on him. Because once that door opens he's trying to get out. We are all working with him and it will take some time to get used to us. But he is no longer lonely. He now has a fur brother and sister to play with. (well that is when Gus warms up to him) Right now Gus is having nothing to do with him. He was the same way with Bobbie. And even Gus is the boss he has accepted Bobbie and I'm sure with time he'll do the same with Hoagan.
I promise to share more pictures as soon as I can. For now I am devoting most of my free time to my four legged babies. Thanks again for welcoming my new baby boy! |
