I begged my husband to agree to a yorkie for over a year. He finally consented, but really did not want a dog at all. Well, a few weeks after we got him, he was loving on him, feeding him treats. ect. He now makes it a point to greet him when he walks in the door and now does not even mind if he sleeps with us, occasionally. Yesterday, we were doing some clothes shopping at the mall. He started laughing out loud when we passed Deliah's. When I asked him what, he told me to go into the store we were heading for, try on some jeans and he would see me in a minute. While I was trying on my jeans, a random shirt came flying over the dressing room door. This is what it looked like. So, he went from not really liking Tucker, to loving him, to buying freakin' yorkie shirts. LOL! I think it's cute shirt and so is my husband!

That is adorable!! I just love when the no "fru fru" dogs kind of guys turn into wobbly mush with our Yorkies!!! Your hubby is a keeper!!:)

My husband originally bought Chunk for our 2 young adult children. Well with their very busy schedules with their jobs, school, bible studies, and leading worship they did not have the time to raise up a 9 week puppy. They do love him very much but my husband and I ended up with him. He is extremely close to me. I can't even go into the bathroom without him following me. The first piece of clothing my husband bought him was a black sleeveless shirt that says "WHO FARTED?" This is appropriate for this 14 lb sometime gassy guy.

Yep - I can relate to your story. I had to wait 11 years to get Bailey - and now hubby just adores her. No doubt, only a yorkie can turn our men into a cream puff.

YOU know, my husband was the same exact way.
Now he walks her, feeds her and cuddles with her every night!
He went from NO dogs in the house...dont even consider in our bed to greeting her first BEFORE ME!!! :sidesplt: I love that shirt!!

That is too funny!! Sounds like my husband. He's always been against small toy breed dogs and was TOTALLY against clothes for dogs but there will be days that he will dress Kaba. He even dressed our cat with one of Kaba's shirts. He is definitely coming around.

Except for hair bows! He told me he will accept everything but that. :(

haha, my bf said omg i can't believe that you're getting a girly dog, now he pushes her in her PINK stroller, and carries her in her purse like bag...

HA HA! I don't know if I could get him to carry the pink bag I own. But when my daughter was a baby, he used to get mad at me that I always got to wear the baby in the snuggly and when was he going to get a turn...so maybe he would carry a more manly looking bag HA!

your hubby sounds like he was totally won over by tucker (understandably of course ;) ) ... that is such a cute story!!

my fiancé was the same way...i do not think he was all that excited about adopting yorkies at first (i think he wanted a more "manly" dog :rolleyes: ) but soon after we got our babies i would get home from work and the kids were dressed and brushed...by him! :D

OHHH i wish i had a deliahs near me and thats Soo Sweet i too had problems with getting my hubby to let me have memphis But now he adores him and he suggest that i start collecting yorkie things like my collection of doxie ( memphis older sis is a doxie ) so I know when he says things like that he has fully approved I just love the way men fold like lawn chairs when it comes to stuff like this

I totally know what you mean! My hubby wasn't too keen on getting a small dog, especially a yorkie because he thought they were "too yappy!" Lol. Well after we got Lexie, our first yorkie, he decided he had to have his big, manly dog so he got a golden retriever (Jordan), and then later we adopted Tucker, our other yorkie. So now we have three and I swear he plays with my two yorkies as much as he does with the golden! He loves them so much but he still occassionally rolls his eyes at buying them clothes, bags, etc. :rolleyes: Oh well, you can't win them all. :D

aww what a sweetie! The pic and thr hubby, lol! Yes these little creatures we call Yorkies can def wil over a big tough guys heart. Koda, Allie and Kammie sure won over my hubby's lol!
