Doggie Daycare Hello Everybody! So today was Gracie's first time at doggie daycare (it is at the same place where she is groomed). I had to take her there because someone had to come in to my apartment for maintenance. I think she had an awesome time!! This place is so cute because every time you visit, you receive a puppy report card to let you know how your dog did. Gracie got an A+! :) They also listed the names & breeds of her daycare buddies.. I'm thinking about taking her there more often. It is $15 a day, and I really think it is worth it to do every now and then..... So do you guys have any stories about your doggie daycare experiences???? |
I send Milo once a week, he LOVES it. He Can't wait to get inside, when i pull in the driveway he goes nuts, and at the end of the day he is supper excited to see me. I sware its the only time i get kisses, the boy kisses everyone but me any other day of the week lol |
Congregation to Gracie for getting the A+ on her report card.:cheer: :cheer: Sounds like she had great time. |

CONGRATS Gracie :) i bet your mom is SO proud for 15$ a day i would be taking her as often as you can. It is EXCELLENT socialization and i'm sure she gets lots of exercise from playing :) Layla goes to a babysitter, instead of a day care. She is actually going there all day Thursday. It is great.. her sitter has two other dogs, a Lab and a Labradoodle and sometimes there is another lab there. Layla gets LOTS of socalization (oh they have a cat too who she LOVES) and it is really helping with her "Behaviour" issues.. she is not allowed to be a b**ch there. The sitter's daugther is a registered dog behaviouralist so we get all the advice for free :p plus she home cooks like i do and Layla eats VERY well there :) We looked into a day care but there are none in our area. SO glad it worked out.. hope she gets to go more :) and take a picture :) |
Unfortunately I can't afford it more than once a week (for now), but I think I'm going to start doing it. This place is just awesome, and I know she is comfortable there.... They even had a little puppy pool, and she got to experience a pool for the first time today!!! |

my girls used to go to day care 2x a week when we were in VA. it was $25 per day for both. they usually charge that for one dog but since mine are just itsy bitsy, they only charged me 25 for both. Now that we are in NYC, i think i am just gonna do once or twice a month since they charge $ 35 per pup..i think daycare is great cuz they get to socialize and mine are just really socialized and don't have any behavior issues..:) |
That's so cute, a report card hehe:p I haven't taken mine to one yet but I really want to. They are expensive here tho |
Love the reportcard!! Such a cute idea. I would definitely go for $15 a day!! We have doggie daycare here but it is a lot more than that! If it was $15 a day I would at least take my dog 3 times a week. She would have so much fun. |
My Baby Ozzy goes to daycare 3 times a week, Mon/Wed/Fri. He loves it. They seperate the pups/itty bitties from the large dogs but do put the little ones with quiet big dogs when there is one there so they get used to them. They are housebreaking him to go potty outside for me so that is great. (he uses pads at home) He got all As on his evaluation except for his interaction with big dogs but he is getting better everyday. (he is only 13 weeks old and 2lbs 10oz) He has 2 girlfriends, a schnoodle and a lhasa. He adores them and tries to boss them around. (my little Napoleon) He has recently discovered the joys of humping so I'm worried he may be starting some trouble at school today  Next week we'll go to our 3rd vet visit and discuss neutering! I think it is such a great experience for him. He is so well adjusted but I do pay $24 a visit so it's a bit much but I can't stand the thought of leaving him alone everyday while I'm at work so it's worth it. |
