I wasn't trying to say that there was anything wrong with these little guys or that they aren't as cute as can be. And yes from what you said this lady was being very honest about her puppies. I guess the part that bothered me was the "RARE"... Personaly and IMO from what you posted she didn't explain that as in it only happens on occassion... The way I read what you posted was that the color was rare, and I just wanted to explain that the color isn't rare that in fact it is a fault. Now before you get after me I'm not saying fault as in the puppy is ugly or shouldn't find a loving home or that it wouldn't make a wonderful companion. I'm saying fault as in being a good example of what the Yorkshire Terrier is. And while I believe anyone in this group knows this information it is sad that many people don't know it and end up getting taken in thinking they are getting something that no one else has.
I agree that the puppy is adorable, and I agree that if given the chance and I were looking for another little one I would think about him too. I guess if it were myself and that was one of my babies that had been born that color or any color other than the standard I would be sure the puppy was spay or neutered before ever leaving for their new home. Again JMO and that is all that I am saying... Terri

It's not so much the "rare that bothers me, as if there isn't a lot of them born, then they are rare, it's when they say they're rare and up the price that bothers me..if you think about it, there aren't a lot of them, so, they are actually rare, but, sometimes, like with the chocolates, they say they're rare(which they also are)and then jack the prices way up where they cost you more to buy than the standard yorkies

Well, he travels a lot, so if I got one when he's on the road, and he comes home, maybe he wouldn't even notice..My son told him one time, Dad, Mom could have 12 dogs and you wouldn't say anything, he told my son, you're probably right...:) I'm really lucky that even though he would just as soon not have any dogs, he says well, since we have them, we're going to take the best care of them as possible...he is really good with them..I told him last week that airtran was running a special for $139 round trip home, later that night he said did you make your reservations?? I said no, because you hadn't said if I could go or not, and besides, that means you would have to take care of all 6 of the dogs, he said go make your reservations, so, I did...:D

Oh Hun I do agree with you 100% I Love the standard colors. dont get me wrong, I think they are all adorable. and would have one of every color if I could. But I do love My Black/Tan babys.
I did say that in my very first post. she did say they was rare, but not rare as into makeing money on them. and I did explain that as in it only happens on occassion. and she sells them for less.
Jeres what I said, She said every once in awhile a fawn one will pop up.

She is a very old lady and I gave my sister all the info I found on them and she was going to tell the lady, so she could understand more on what was happening. no matter what color they are they all deserve a good home. like you said.

I did leave my sister a few messages, but them My internet went down, up its up and running now, but still no message back from her. She dosent get on the computer much thou and shes prob busy with her new Chi pup. but if she dosent get back with me by messenger by the end of the day, Ill give her a call.
